Tips on countering Tristana mid?

Greetings Summoners!

 So, there I was, Confident in playing Ziggs.....Throwing bombs at people, laughing manically at strangers. Then a sudden "BOOM!" Sound of a Musket it seemed, has fired off into the echo, seeing the shadow on the ground slowly growing bigger I look up and think "Oh Fuu..." 

At that moment I found myself at base, with not a clue, The strange little smurf had snuffed my life with one shot...or what seemed to be instant. Any clues on how I could counter this as Ziggs? I have tried planting a bomb at my feet, anticipating the launch, so I could blow us apart from each other, then throw a bomb at her as I fly back, But at the same time, it does not stop her ult/E combo either. Is this a perfect counter for Ziggs? I tend not to believe in that sort of thing and only think that one's skill is enough to counter any champion in league, or am I wrong? Please, I need tips!
