Hi, my name is LegendaryxHammer, and im a b5 (left games in b4, and stopped playing ranked) During my gaming experince, i've noticed some really bad language, even from myself. So my idea was, when you try to say to /all or your team like a curse word to someone, could you guys like somehow make the message not go through and suspend the player for 15 seconds from chat. If he keeps on doing that it will keep on adding 15 seconds. So let me know about my idea!

Also, there will be a message after he/she gets blocked that says something like '' you have been suspended for 15 seconds, watch your mouth and play nice! ''

Hi LegendaryxHammer. I'm a little confused by your suggestion The game has a swear filter that's used automatically and users have to opt out of this system to see swear words. Are you suggesting that the swear filter needs to be upgraded? or are you suggesting that there should be a time limit after swearing?

I believe that there is a fundamental difference between cursing and cursing at somebody. The latter is what we do not need in any community as its only purpose is to serve as insult to accost another person. The former, however, is far more innocuous in its use. These are more typically used in outbursts of passion -- sometimes including anger -- but are not specifically directed with the pointed purpose of harming somebody else. It's a rated T game, that they're as worried about people offending one another with that rating is already seemingly pointless as they can't make the claim that it might "be found patently offensive." (in most cases)

I agree that swearing is a repugnant habit for most young people; specifically those with access to the internet. But that does not mean that they should be punished for using words in a non-defamatory sense, even if the punishment is exceedingly temporary. After all; self control is a self-taught habit, not one that can be forced upon you.
