new will of the ancients

why does it give mana regen? what possible reason is their for it to give mana regen?

the 3 people who I know who use spellvamp are

Akali manaless

Vladimir manaless

Ryze stacks mana and doesn't need much mana regen

if you were planning to replace the jungler item as a primary option for spellvamp, can you make it give some other new stat..... idk even health regen would be nice.... perhaps take mana regen away and give a little more ability power..... you took away 30% damage to monsters..... I would really prefer a decent stat rather than giving a stat that is useless to everyone who uses spellvamp -_-

just for clarity sake, here is the list of stats on the new will of the ancients (since it doesn't show up on the website yet)

item 3152

cost 2000 gold

50 ap

10 mp5

10% cdr

passive - 20% spellvamp

EDIT FOR CLARITY: NOTICE THAT IT IS NO LONGER AN AURA ITEM... it only give you the ap and spellvamp now

for build path feel free to just take away the faerie charms... we don't build them anyway on manaless champions -_-.... you can either add some other stats or cheapen the price a bit... but PLEASE get rid of the mana regen ;.;

any opinions are welcome and wanted... really hoping to get this seen by a red :D

WoTA confuses me now. As a support Zilean, it's tantelizing ( and I dig that m-regen) but I cannot build it because every support item and their mother has 20% cdr, wasting a huge stat, and the AP frankly isn't enough even for even a support right now.

Add to that the reduction to AoE damage and it just feels out of place always.

I mean, hextech is damn expensive (however cost efficient)...but the fact that you end up with more AP just feels silly. Why would a magical tome have less ap than a gun?

I feel like WoTA should now build into something.

Edit: I did not realize that it's no longer an Aura... These changes now make no sense to me. I share your confusion.

I **THOUGHT **they were trying to re-position WotA as an item the support built...

Cassiopea will probably like the new WotA

Manaless champions already have superior Regan skills. I don't really feel bad for them for having to waste some gold on a less useful stat.

What bugs me is the aura removal with no replacement. This was one of my main items on lulu and taric because more support= win.

Will of the Ancients sucks, just get Hextech-Gunblade !
No, really now. Hextech is better in every way. WotA is just a waste of gold.
Also, Gunblade's active will help most of the Champions who benefit from Spellvamp, so yeah :)

All 3 have built in sustain... and one can use gunblade well...

Just use gunblade, manaless champs were taking Spectral Wraith before, and now Ancients has almost the exact same combat stats... it's a good trade off to limit the abuse a manaless champion gets out of spell vamp since they don't have the same resource limitations.

Now what would be nice, is if they un-neutered AoE spellvamp...
