Using bots for easy XP and IP with cheese tactics.
It seems more often now that people want to use cheese tactics to get a seven minute win against the beginner bots on Twisted Treeline and Dominion. While it is possible to get a seven minute win against players in Dominion, I wonder why it is still so easy to abuse the bots on these modes. Last year we had a change with co-op v AI in customs so that there was a minimum time requirement, and in the case of customs a minimum population requirement, but now, it seems that the issue has returned in another form, which is rushing to win at exactly seven minutes. I have had a few games where someone gets into champion select, and then immediately demands that everyone go bot, pick a marksman, buy
and then push for a seven minute win on the nose. Why is it that bots cannot be so flexible to change their configuration to match what the players do?
My primary concerns with this are:
New players often get matched with more experienced players when it comes to TT and Dominion bots, because these modes don't have tutorials, and the players in question don't care about teaching them how to play this mode, and only seek a fast win.
The reason for the previous co-op v AI changes were due to smurfs and bots abusing the modes for easy xp/ip gains. This is now just a horse of another color, push to win in seven minutes, for as much experience you can gain withing the cap for bot match gains.
Players playing bots, outside of smurfs and those that play bots as their sole form of enjoyment of this game, are often trying out a champion for the first time, or returning to a champion they have not played in a long time. Seven minutes isn't long to figure out how
if they are unfamiliar with her, or very much time to get back into the swing of things. I feel that this sort of confidence course is somewhat important for players, especially the newer ones. For those that only really play with bots, I imagine that this ruins their enjoyment of the game.
