So many times a League match devolves into everyone finger poppin their assholes and one person putting in work.
When you are asked to be that person…do you carry? how and with what champion? Video related

I usually ignore it because it's a suicide mission and they just want to wreck my score.
If they ask me to carry, regardless of what Champ I am playing (omigawd Thresh carry us plz) I try to do one simple thing:
Start calling shots.
Dollars to donuts, you will succeed more often with coordination and teamwork rather than just trying to 1v5 the team. Focus on what the problem is and start coordinating shit.
Are you Nasus, and they scream for you to carry? "Alright, listen up. You three, hold the mid tower and just defend. Varus be ready to ult if they dive. Jungler, clear the camps. I'm going to split top. If they follow, take their mid tower. IF they stay, I'll take their top and come flank them from behind."
Obviously you can't just type all that out at once, but you can still communicate. (Flag Ping! "Def mid." Arrow Ping! "Splitting top" Red/Blue ! Ping "Clear buffs")
Are you the underleveled, gold-starved Sona and they say "OMIGAWD SONA CARRY US"? Call the shots. "I will bait them and ult, focus down Vayne then Riven."
Carrying, honestly, is less about getting kills and more about making kills happen.
