I can probably talk a lot about this.
First of all, the clips weren't that funny, or at least something that I would not put in my own montages. This is mostly a combination of the clip length and the actual play quality not being good enough without something else attached (music, text etc). If you want good stuff, then omit the weaker plays and go through the remaining clips with an iron fist. Don't have enough clips? Get more, and more and more until you actually have something.
Secondly, editing is fairly important to add more to your clips, but unnecessary editing that does not add anything can be disregarded (see the text pieces that appear for split seconds that can otherwise be inferred by your movements). It probably doesn't help that you're using WMM to edit (Sony Vegas is highly recommended, but After Effects can also work), but having single pieces of strong text that reinforce or emphasize the point (this includes humor and drama). As an example, I just want to point you to this point in one of my own videos.

The main point I want to focus on is the 'my cranberry juice' part. It works because it adds something small to the overall joke of the comeback without taking anything away from it. It should be noted however that I did not repeat this technique that much in the rest of the video, since there was less downtime between clips and the emphasis shifted away from these inside jokes.
Basically, set what you want the mood to be in the clip and make the joke accordingly. Stick to this to be decent.
Thirdly, music can really make or break a video. If you want to fall into the mainstream thousands, then continue to use these techno pieces over and over again with no consideration for finding better fitting music. Otherwise you can actually start scanning through youtube to find something that might even have the slightest chance of being the best music you can find for the clip (something that I am doing as I type this right now).
Don't know where to start?
Search up your favorite game OST or something (don't bother with LoL music because they try too hard to fit, something that Bring it! might have more naturally), and go from there. You can even search up your favorite songs and just look through the related videos to find something (just be careful about copyright, although that's more present with actual music and artists that you find on iTunes).
I REALLY dislike most of the music used for LoL montages though, so that's a very big gripe of mine. >.>
Hopefully this actually sheds some light on my own thought process when it comes to making videos from the point of view of a rising star (if my 4k+ subscribers are anything to talk about).
