There is a difference between being oneshoted as squishy ADC and being one/two shoted as tank
the first one fizz was lvl 18 and had 27 kills... annie was lvl 16 with 16 deaths...
the second one nida was broken in the past her spear was op everyone knew it moreover she was 6/2.
the last one it's riven and riven lvl 1 has always done this crazy amount of damage.
Burst was nuts before a lot of Season 3-4 balance changes. I promise. I remember when
could still kill people with single Foxfire bolts.
We rose-tint our memories of the past a lot. Damage has unquestionably been buffed somewhat, but not nearly as much as everyone thinks. A lot of the power creep over the years is simply the result of people getting a lot, lot better at the game.
That doesn't mean the damage meta should stay - I still feel a 5% damage reduction day on PBE would be a fantastic experiment - but it does imply that Riot's probably less to blame for the current meta than some people would like to believe.
Do you realize all these champions have been severely changed because the videos you've listed happened way too many times. Hell wanna go back let's talk permaban Kassadin who whenever was picked got a penta, or even better let's go further back to AP Yi who ended the game with 1Q reset....There's countless examples of champions being busted in one way or the other. Season 3 was balance hell because all the old champions that haven't been updated since their release. But now everyone has r%%%%%ed amount of damage simply because riot can't balance for shit.
Lmao First clip is a Fizz with 41 kills, against an Annie without MR. Same game just half the kills but still hard fed Fizz. Nida is literally 7 levels higher than Lulu who's items consisted of mobi boots, pots and sightstone. She had Rabadons. Last one was also decently fed Lee and a 1/9 Lux, not the tankiest of all targets. His ult had high base damage and ratios even back then.
This is out of context cliips with highly fed damage dealers against squishy targets, what do you expect? The problem nowadays is how the same thing happens with small leads and partially even in laning phase, by all kinds of champs that is.
Bu-but burst wasn't that high on old seasons
But the main problem is, back then it was understandable that all this happened. After all league was still young even if season 3. But as you progress and grow, your understanding and knowledge should grow too and become wiser. But instead, Riot's wisdom became non-existent and made it even worse than those old seasons.
I see 3 things that is not being taken into consideration about the video's from Season 3...... So I will start with Video 1, Fizz is and was a Assassin. Assassins took out high priority targets back then we had Adc's/Apc's. Also Fizz was Fed. 2nd, Nidalee is again a Assassin, her job is to get in or blow up high priority squishes. 3rd, Lee was just a broken champ in general.. Were there nerfs that needed to happen back then yes of course, 2 of them was mentioned, Kass and Leblanc silences, Lee Sin should have been put in the trash can just like they done to the Old Poppy and left till rework time.
Now 30% plus of the roster can insta gib, or down right murder you in 2-3 secs. We have Tanks dishing out enough dmg to 1 v 5 and live through the whole fight. We have Mages full comb's blowing shit up like 100 - -90+hp on fully built tanks in 1 rotation, Assassin's that can blow who ever up including full built tanks and be gone before your team has a chance to react, we have ADC's pissing out Crit Dmg and doing Assassin type dmg at range, we have bruisers also dropping dmg like bombs on Sunday, supports also dropping dmg like a 200 pound open bag of skittles being poured on the floor. So using 1 class to sum up Season 3 vs Season 9 there is no comparison....
An assassin has 40 kills and one-shots an Annie that's feeding like a boss.
lol tell me more about how that's like now?
Just found this in an old reddit discussion, wow... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vxDsZ45tbpQ&app=desktop
You realize that Fizz was 43-10 in that clip right?
I never played season 3, but are these just outliers or was damage that high before?
