Overheal grasp Cho'gath? What is this monster?

I post some videos now and again on my YouTube channel - feel free to check them out and leave a like or subscribe. This particular vid - despite having mouse issues most of the game - highlights a new champ/build combo I came up with. The runes are flexible depending on if you want ap cho or tanky/bruiser cho. The build is likewise flexible, but has a core of item 3001 item 3151 item 3146 . The idea is that combined with your passive (heal for every enemy slain), you can get off a suprising amount of damage and still be very tanky. The excess healing you build up from farming in lane allows you to come out ahead in trades where you otherwise would not - thanks to the shielding from overheal.

There are 3 main possibilities for runes: sorc+precision for full ap; precision+resolve for an attack speed build; and resolve+precision for a tanky/bruiser build. For full ap, consider item 3100 item 3089 item 3165 as some other key potential items - possibly subbing one in for either abyssal or liandri's For attack speed build item 3115 and item 3143 or item 3075 make nice additions To finish off your tanky/bruiser build items such as item 3025 and item 3143 or item 3075 make nice additions - item 3742 is a good alternative if you need movespeed to engage better

Sure you can skip the gunblade, but it is more beneficial than one might think. For one, it gives you great sustain in prolonged fights and can let you make use of overheal better when no minions are around - especially when you land some good combo's on grouped up opponents. But the more important reason is engage. Gunblade is your tool to engage on and get some chunk damage on enemy carries after the initial engage happens. When you would normally get kited, it gives you the slow you need to land a q and get onto those tasty carries and start nomming your way to victory.

Overall, you are slightly less tanky in teamfights; however, you make up for it by doing more damage and having better sustain in a fight. Also, you are much more of a splitpush threat - being able to hold your own in matchups you wouldn't as full tank cho. Anyways, hopefully you enjoyed learning about a new overheal champ to try out. Best of luck out there in your placement matches everyone. [poppy-wink]

Definitely depends on you lane opponent. I vastly prefer Electrocute on Cho for the dream 1 shot when I go against things like Riven, Jayce, Teemo, etc. along with my core item 3152. All you have to do is land a Q and they're history. Q, Dash, W, R.
