Thoughts from a "Brand" New Player

I actually first saw this game on a YouTube advertisement and I thought I'd give it a go. I thought it was very new-user friendly, and also fun! I played more and more matches and realized that a lot of players like to be aggressive and hostile in chat and play style. I have played other games, and I had occasionally encountered a toxic player or too, but in this game. Almost every game I played, people were verbally abusing, and harassing me or other players. I know this might sound child-like, but I don't want to come from work everyday and come to see people wasting time, or doing the opposite of having fun every time I opened up the game. Normally my friends would ask me for new game reccomendations, since I am frequently trying new games. League of Legends is something I would NEVER reccomend to a friend. Not because it is fun, not because it is it's a good time killer, but because they're going to want to stop playing as soon as they see who they're playing with. I had originally wanted to reach ranked mode as fast as I could, but I am now stopping at level 18, because I can only imagine how toxic ranked is going to be. Taking the advice from_iTameStrange666_I will be uninstalling the game :D. Final Thoughts : "If I wanted this much toxicity in one place, I'd work in a nuclear waste plant" Favorite Champion : Rumble Bye Bye League of Legends!

Trust me, ranked will get more toxic. But if you're Gold Elo+ the chat will be much more about communication then toxicity. There's an option to mute chat. Trust me, its so much more effective. But because I'm toxic I like to turn it on and enable /all chat and taunt the enemy team or talk trash about my own team.

Honestly, This is all due to how the community has evolved throughout the years.

Each season the toxic ones get more and more toxic toward each other. It's almost like swearing, If you say the F word constantly throughout the day everyday it starts to lose its meaning. So you must start saying a more harsher and impactful swear word to reach the same result. Same as hearing the F word everyday constantly, It begins to impact you less and less till it becomes just another word and not a bad word anymore.

The toxic players have been so toxic for so long that even basic negativity just doesn't affect anybody at all, So they must be EXTRA negative to achieve the same affect as before. I have been playing league for many years and i have to say i have grown quite immune to even the highest levels of toxicity. I am able to just ignore it and move on with my game. If myself and many other players like me are able to not react to them then they must up the toxicity until their childish brain and get attention.

**So when you combine both the toxic players perception of negativity with the non-toxic players growing immunity to what they consider to be toxic it paints a really dark picture of how toxicity will continue to grow forever. **

And when you introduce a new person. Someone without toxicity antibodies to the ever increasing strength of the toxicity virus... they often wont survive. Like you, they will fade away never to return to summoners rift.

Toxicity will be the death of League of Legends because the community is what breeds life into games, Specially games like this one who have been around for so long. It NEEDS the community and it needs it to be loyal and it needs it to want to increase itself. At this point... The community is none of those. only a small fraction of the players i used to play constantly with are still playing, The others?, Have no desire to ever return to league. Their main point for not returning? It's too toxic.
