ok so this is a conversation i just had with the riot support. I would really love for someone to see this and start doing what's good for the many over making sure a few can't take advantage of small loopholes(that would eventually get them banned anyway).

chiefkush420ok so i just played a game where my laptop died about 13 mins into the game and it took me about 5-7 mins to reconnect. we went on to win the game and after it said leaver and gave me 0 lp and no cradit for the win.Also while im here i would love to know how the chat restrictions work? i have literally been told to fk myself with a rusty knife and worse reported those players and nothing? i get a "negative attitude" discussing how weak ezreal is early and things like that not even cursing or being toxic in my opinion and boom insta restriction day one of the new season.

i knoow it's not perfect but, there's no way for us to tell chiefkush420seems like it would be worth it to let those players get their accounts banned then taking the lp away from someone who dcs for 5 mins

if they did it enough ppl would report them enough to get them banned right?

i've noticed a theme where riot does something that harms the overall population just to keep a few ppl from abusing loopholes

tbh i love the game i have played since season 2 and im just trying to give you an insiders perspective

solomochiso for the chat restrictions they're usually given for things like excessively arguing, negativity, or just complainig about others

in addition to excessive swearing and things like that

the system won't always tell you when a report is actioned on though because of privacy reasons chiefkush420ok that makes sense

i know im a little argumentative at times

ok one last thing

solomochimhm? chiefkush420would submitting a ticket about these flawed system algorithms do any good or would it just be brushed off

i guess the better question would be is submitting a ticket even the way to go as far as giving advice to the company?

solomochithe best place for these kinds of concerns would be throough the boards

The bottom line is this: You do not get a LeaverBuster unless you show a pattern of leaving games over multiple games. You do lose your ability to get a “win” for the game if you are gone from the game for an extended period of time.

As the support agent said, if you could just leave and come back if your team’s winning, that would completely ruin the experience for other players, and there is no way to tell if that’s what players are doing. Plus, you weren’t there for a large portion of the game - you do not deserve the same credit your teammates do, and in fact, you could argue your teammates deserve more credit since they held the game together in your absence.

If you wish to get comments on your chat restriction, the best place to post is in the Player Behavior boards where other players can help you understand it.
