Remember when the KD/A event came out and there wasn't a single skin for male champions? Nobody made posts bitching about how there weren't any. Skins are based on the theme and if the champion works with it, not Riot's social agenda.

Hello yes I am a female and I honestly don't mind the all-male skins here. Its a nice change of pace from things like K/DA, which was all women, Lunar Reveal, which was mostly women, and many other skins for female champions. Let the men have the spotlight for a change, especially if they're gonna be cute while they're in it.
Can understand being bummed that there ain't no girls in the cats vs dogs event, but surely there's a different, more polite way to express it rather than, "This is going to get downvoted because the League community hates anything to do with women,..."

Are you ok? The KD/A event was literally based %100 around women. 4 women champs got really nice skins and no one complained about male champions getting skins. They make skins that fit the theme not a social agenda.
Kda was a 3 person skin line about a female pop band. Cats verse dogs is an entire event, with a separate map, skins and missions.

Looking through the other skin lines it looks like a mix or at least one of the other gender is involved with no isolated gender as extreme as this one. It's OK if there are male and female separations. It's OK. Please don't taint something as adorable as Corki riding a corgi or Rengar and Yorick dressed up as a soft, cuddly kitty. I am sure that there will be another female skin released soon. Probably for a champion you won't play, but the representation will be there.
Well I understand the sentiment only because I would dig a Fiora skin with floppy puppy ears, staring at me with those sad puppy eyes while trying to kill me.

It's not like they didn't kill some memes with these skins, or just overall have massive word play going on. Fuzz Fizz, Corgi Corki - they just make themselves, and the Corki skins looks ADORABLE AND AMAZING. It's also a very unique and different take on Corki, and I think is a great breath of fresh air into him.
Meowrick, Pretty Kitty Rengar - Memes were brutally slaughtered here. Everyone always jokes that Rengar is a kitty cat, so they made him a skin that has him being a cute kitty. Secondly, Crazy Cat Lady Yorick was a meme forever ago, and this skin pretty much encapsulates all of that.
Which champions got skins?
I mean, most of the champion pool in the game is male, so it's bound to happen kind of often with a lot of skinlines.

There are tons of female skins out there. There is also Kitty Kat Katarina, Nidalee who transforms into various cats, Bewitching Tristana summons a cat from her cauldron.
I think by having all male skins on a cat vs dog line probably had influence to avoid the men vs women idiocy that some people cannot let go. If this pans out perhaps doing a 2nd set that is all women (on both dogs and cats) would flush it out.
The Corgi Corki is awesome (grr I want UFO but started a little late). Yorick is a little odd for him (but it is silly like all skins around the April Fools time), but army of cats is awesome.
So the league community doesn't hate things to do with women. Sometimes it might work out where a line (or 1st group of it) might only be men or women. Pentakill has Kayle and Star Guardian has Ezrael for example.
Having something be male or female as your first or primary thought says you are looking for inequality when there is none.

also like 3 of these champions can't really be considered stereotypical men as one of them is a yordle and two are pretty much animals
it's an april fool's day event - if we had a dog OR cat skin that even slightly worked then it wouldn't work as well, and seeing that most female champions in the game seem to be young adult (or around that range) the idea of a cute cat skin is sort of a natural fit and removes the entire point of an april fool's event (perhaps giving a skin to illaoi would've made a decent fit over someone like Yorick, but on the top of my head Illaoi rn is the only champ that would allow for an ironic cat themed skin)
every cat vs dog skin is just slightly off, unsettling if you will. something that shouldn't work or doesn't make any sense. why is fizz a dog now. why is corki riding a corgi. why is rengar wearing a cat onesie when he is a cat. that's the entire point
