Riot Exposed

For those wondering why you are hardstuck, im here to tell you the reason and it may not be you. Not all of you with fall under this category, but a lot of you. Lets understand something together before I continue. Riot Games is a BUSINESS, controlled by BUSINESSMEN. Do not fool yourself for one moment that a business would not do everything they could to make the most profit. Wouldn't you?

Lets elaborate for a moment. I know there will statements like, "Oh! But its a free game! There is no pay to win either!"

Sure, you're right. The game is free to play. This company makes so much money of cosmetics, streamers, esports, and the average player grinding endlessly on their game to not have to charge to play. So we will consider that above quote irrelevant.

Now i am about to turn some of your try hard brains on fire. This game is more luck based than skill-based. Everyone seems to pass up the idea that this is a 5v5 game. Not 1v1. How could anyone fool themselves into logically believing this is skilled based?

"Well, there is an elo system in place and its match makes based on your skill level!"

Wait.. wait.. you seriously cant believe that garbage. Sure... its "skill-based" based of how Riot Games defines it. Lets look at the math briefly. There are four other players on your team. We are going to assume you are the best of the five and do not make mistakes. We will also assume that the remaining players are the same skill level as the opponents. So this means the odds are in your favor... right... No, actually. Due to the fact that there are 10 players in this game, 5 of which are on your team, this creates only a 20% buffer that you will win. Thats IF you play perfect 100% of the time! 20%... let that sink in. Unless you are a pro player, the odds of you climbing are completely against you. You cannot control 80% of the game. Every single game you run a 80% chance of getting horrible teammates, trolls, afks, drunk players, high players, and always the smurfs. Lets say you get lucky and get good players. Guess what, everyone is human so theres a chance they will make a game changing mistake, like when i miss smite on the 45 minute baron fight when I jungle teemo.

Hold up where I am going. Why did I say "unless you are a pro player". Im pretending their chances are better. Wait... They are. Thats right! Riot gives pro players accounts with rigged MMR so they do not have waste time in ELO HELL. Just google it. You'll find plenty of results.

"Well look at TF BLADE! Faker! Dopa! They go from the pit of bronze to the heavens of challenger in a week!"

Listen here keyboard warrior, you arent Faker, Dopa, or TF Blade. Understand that these players are the top players in their respective regions. You, likely, are not. Almost keep in mind TF BLADE abuses the most op champions to get to where he is. And its true, if you want to climb, you need to meta slave or one trick.

"I hate one tricks! Those scum always ruin my games! Try learning another champion and role, noob!"

Relax, tough guy. Put those weights down and use that brain. Did you know that both strategies accomplish the same thing? Yeah. Got ya there. Both ideas increase your odds of winning. OP Champion makes your odds go up! Knowing everything about one champion also makes your chance go up. Not so different are they in hindsight are they? Just to trigger some of you, champion abuse doesn't reflect skill level. It reflects champion abuse. I mean, animal abuse is illegal, lets fight for champion rights eh?

"If elo hell is real then why do people elo boost? Huh!?"

Good point, im glad you brought it up, junior. Elo boosters often boost with a duo. Now why would they do this? it increases their odds of winning. That would put them at a 40% base chance, likely higher due to the fact that are likely using common boosting strategies and are higher rated players. Do not play yourself for a moment. They do not win every single game. Dont bother duoing by the way! For those of you who dont know, the game punishes you for duoing. What do I mean? I mean it will pair you against better players than you would normally play against. So you may think you and your average buddy have a better chance at winning, but ya dont. The game insures that. In fact, on average, you will LOSE MORE and GAIN LESS while duoing. Why would they want you climb? So you can finally hit D5 and then play one game a month until the season is over? That doesn't sound very profitable to me. Remember as I said earlier, this is a business.

Did you know Riot bases their ELO ALGORITHM off Arpad Emmerich Elo. For those of you who dont know that is, he is the creator of the elo system for chess... you know that game is 1v1 right..i.e a zero-sum game. League of Legends is a non-zero sum game. Oh but wait they do slight moderation to the numbers. okay. If you're really curious, do some research https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zero-sum_game.

What if I told you that Riot NEEDS trolls and afkers? What if I told you they make BANK off them? Well, guess what, they do. Every minute you spend on this game they make money. What do trolls and afkers do? They make you spend more time playing another 30 minute game to recover from the loss they just so generously gifted you. Its an endless cycle, and they love it... and they make you love it. I wont get in-depth with it, but the game is extremely good at exploiting your brain, as most live games are. Just do some research on it, you'll be surprised.

So you see. This is a rigged lottery. Your ticket is your champion. The better rigged ticket (OP champ or one trick) you have, the better your odds of winning. Dont get those warrior britches in a notch. Im not here to destroy your favorite game or company. honestly, I dont even care what comes of you reading this. 99% of you will likely continue try harding. Keep at that. I love watching the bronze streams and placing bets on who wins.
