My run in with being "toxic"
Well... this is gonna be a very controversial forum to what i think league has turned into... SOOO lets get started. I got perma banned last year of January, and have actually tried to play a lot of games and control my anger, not for the sake of league but just not to be banned and i think it would help me overall as a person. Then my friend at school starts league and that eventually leads me to starting it fresh with him. So now im level 15 and im HOOKED.
I get in a game with this Zed player and friend him and after the game with him we friend 2 more people from that game. Now we are in a 4 man, but my mic was lost so i had to type messages out, and because league is a full screen competitive game, i just typed in league chat. If they asked me questions, or even had a statement i had a take on i would reply. For example my friend says "Yeah, i hate cancerous kill steal supports like morgana with her w or blitzcrank with his r. My friend was joking around playing gragas supports so i reply in league chat something along the lines of "Yeah i hate cancerous supports like Gragas lol." i say things like im inting but i never actually mean it, the only time i did feed a kill was to a tower because we knew the game was over, they were double our score in a normal game and many players of my group weren't the best, there was no room for a comeback. I also said things like kys when they jokingly insulted me in discord, like "Hey i'm coming down bot to cs too bad you don't got any mana." I would just be like "kys." Short and sweet and can get a chuckle or laugh from my new fond friends. After that game i take a shower and i come back to a player banned screen. There is many things wrong with this. Well not too many from plain Riot Vision. I didn't get a chat restriction... What happened to those? Those were used to teach new players not to be toxic. I also never typed in all chat, and many of the things i said to my teammates were obviously jokes. So what happened? I wanted to find out. I emailed riot and after i told them that this was all just me typing on league because i lost my mic, they replied with a simple "Well I reviewed the game and the suspension seems to be justified. The Camille was not in your group so saying things like kill yourself is a no-no with us." ??????
I never typed to that Camille, and I did not say kill yourself. kys and Kill Yourself have the same meaning but one is used with mostly every gamers lives now a days. One is extremely offensive and one is used as a joke. I was confused because i knew that that statement was the worst thing i said, and i didn't even say the extremely rude version of it, just typing in 3 letters, kys as a joke and reply to my teammates having fun and teasing me. Looking back on my account and reviewing what i said that literally was the worst thing i said. Actually maybe not to riot because i did say late game i have been inting for 8 minutes, which seems bad on the outside but that was a quote from my friend from last game on discord. So what is the morale of this story? Well 1 i love this game and i just wanna play along with free rewards because i do truly think i'm reformed and i wanna get my main (Kha' Zix) back. Also... Why has this game become such a safe space?
Dunkey said it first, talking shit to ur opponents (which i didn't do plz unban me riot senpai) is a part of a game and with such a long gametime it does really become frustrating. I didn't mind it until i found out you don't even get chat restrictions anymore. I don't know, please comment your thoughts down below because i really wanna see some peoples takes on this matter. I just wanna shit talk my friends, have a good laugh and enjoying playing one of if not the best MOBA of all time.
