Moonton Responds To Copyright Infringement Suit From Riot Games By Threatening The Press With Lawsuits

I just heard about the ongoing lawsuit between Riot Games and Shanghai Moonton Games. I understand the reasoning for the lawsuit and copyright infringement, as a once long time player of League of Legends I greatly enjoyed. When I lost my computer I became unable to play it, I tried searching for a way to play League of Legends on my cell phone (LG K4 Plus) and was to disappointed to discover there was neither a mobile version nor a work around for the phone. I then discovered Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and was overjoyed to be able to play the game which I thought was made by Riot Itself, as I had believed Shanghai Moonton Games wad a subsidiary or sister company to Riot Games. Today I discovered differently. Now while I do understand the copyright infringement, I believe also it was a mistake on the part of Riot Games not to make a mobile version. I am not saying that Shanghai Moonton Games was right to practically clone the game, they were wrong to do that. I do believe however, that by not providing a mobile version for League of Legends, Riot Games set up the perfect conditions for another company to duplicate it and provide a clone for us mobile users.

P.S. For those who have not played Shanghai Moonton's Mobile Legends: Bang Bang I have provided a link that provides picture comparisons. Lastly please take my poll after reading this.

If you Disagree with my comments above and DO NOT wishe to see a mobile version of League of Legends, select first choice.

If you Agree with my comments above and wish to see a mobile version of League of Legends, select second choice.

If you Disagree with my comments above and wish to see a mobile version of League of Legends, select third choice.

If you Agree with my comments above and DO NOT wish to see a mobile version of League of Legends, select fourth choice.

I don't know if Riot should go ahead and make the mobile version. There's already a few on the market and there would be a LOT of coding issues to straight up port League of Legends to mobile.

I do believe that this is yet another copyright infringement by the same company and they should be shut down given that they've already lost a Copyright lawsuit once (Magic Rush: Heroes fell under this for copying League Champions).

Theirs more to the story, Riot was making a mobile version which is why this suit is a bigger deal then most realize. The fact that moonton cornered the market with a clone is basically stealing. And if Riot were to release their mobile game, it probably wouldn't work out as in most countries players are already invested in Mobile Legends. I don't remember the name of Riots mobile game that was in works as this Copyright suit has been ongoing for a year or 2. But if you search Google for it you can see screen shots and character concepts.

They actually do have a mobile version of league of legends called Arena of Valor, made by Garena, a sister company of Riot games. If you want a different experience but more polished game, you should try vainglory as they've came out with a 5v5 mode not too long ago and the whole map in general I feel offers more gameplay strategies.
