Fix your game! -Make it casual without turning the game into a snowball fiesta, -suggestions from me
I won't cry about planing to quit, but the game is in a aweful state at the moment. Haters gonna hate, like they've always done, but if 4 out of the 5 most popular treads on the board complain about the game as a whole, we are in an emergency situation. A majority of the players, (at least on the boards) is unhappy. The game has never been this bad before.
Overall Gameplay Objectives: Yes the objective was to make games more casual, because people don't have time to play 1 hour games each time. Riot has done so, by increasing snowball potential. (Various changes: First Blood Turret gold, Rift Herald Rework, overall changes with runes) And now we are here, almost every game is a one sided stomp, and i can still confidently start a game when dinner is ready in 30 minutes.
From the perspective of the players (please contribute your opinion, i can't represent the player base as a whole): More casual? ok, fine; One-sided snowball? No, pls don't. A stomp is NOT enjoyable. Neither as winner nor as looser. And LP is als RNG, if a single mistake of you or your teammate innitiates an unstoppable snowball. My suggestion here: Remove snowballing objectives: First Blood Tower, nerf rift herald, buff towers (at least make them hard to take down before 10 minutes), Instead make games quicker by : Increase auto gold generation, Increase all experience income (needs to be slight 10% at most (both gold and exp)). This attempt may shorten the game (compared to 1 hour games of season 5) without giving one-sided advantages. Both teams get items/lvls faster, the game ends quicker, without beeing too one sided.
Balancing issues:
In my opinion riot is too eager to introduce new things, but doesn't clean up the mess. Consequent Nerfs seem to be coming only coming by once in a millenium. Syndra was way too broken in worlds season 6 (97.4% pick+ban in words), but it needed another 7 months (patch 7.16) until consequent nerfs came through. Those miniatur nerfs "hitbox of w 275-->225, (patch 7.11) are WAY too inconsequent. Twitch ran arround with similiarily high winrates and almost equally high popularity in lcs, but there are no nerfs, just 2 other adcs (ez, mf) that recieved random buffs, so that twitch sneaked away from peoples attention (I still don't get why one of the strongest late game hypercarry adcs, is viable in the jungle with unmatched lvl 2 ganking + snowball potential).
If I am right to call this emergency state, riot, you should take a break from introducing new things and clean up the mess you've made. Take your time and nerf ALL champions that are strong, to a moderate level. And do it consequently, don't be afraid of nerfing too much. The last thing we need right now, are overly ambitious buffs to champions that are not even bad in the current meta (like the brand changes on PBE).
Changes and reworks can be good and bad, but there is no shame in admitting something was bad and reverting it. the lb rework is a failure, but simply waiting until we might appreciate things (Waiting for ever), is worse. If changes didn't work out that well just revert the rework.
Edit: I've used some phrases/ recreated some opinions from other players on the boards, but i can't remember where I've read these things, so I apologize for not quoting properly ;)
