Add more information about champions in-game

So, I have been slowly learning the game at my own speed and something I have noticed is that the in-game champion information screens do not provide any statistics about the abilities, or base statistics etc. I'm not sure if other players felt similarly, but it would really helpful to have an in-client information base for people to look at.

In the Twitter post I have linked where I was directed to these boards, I specifically used Sona as the example so I will continue to use her here. The official League of Legends website provides base statistics to each champion as well as mana/energy costs, cast ranges and base damage at each level up. The cooldowns are in fact not provided which is a separate issue on its own.

Here is what the official website provides for champion statistics: Base stats: https://imgur.com/a/S6igKNc Sona's Q (example, abilities for all champions show the same type of information): https://imgur.com/a/Xz1U1dr

I don't know how many people would also like to see this information provided in the client, curious to see what everyone else's thoughts are on this. I know the wiki exists but it's not very convenient plus I don't want to look at ads every time I want to check the base cooldown of an ability without going into the practice tool or having to buy a champion just to find out that I dislike certain aspects of the kit due to details I would not have known through the information provided in-client.

Being able to theorize items builds and new paths would be so much easier if I didn't need to refer to multiple different sites for specific bits of information. Theory-crafting should be fun and rewarding, not feel like you're studying for a history report. But, this could also just be an inconvenience that I am the only one bothered by. Thanks in advance for reading this, I hope some people do agree as I believe it would be a great resource.

It's funny cuz I remember when you could look up champion's base damages and scaling% on their abilities, then Riot decided to just ditch it all for some reason.

When I first started playing League of Legends, I actually studied it like a history class because there is so much freaking information about all of the champion's kits and abilities. Now I have a good understanding of their damages and cool downs but still I look them up from time to time on like 2 websites lol.

That's nothing. Certain champs but i dont remember examples have text blocks like

Deals {{%abilitypower}}{{0basedamage/rank5basedamage}} magic damage to enemies

Even some of the runes are completely unintuitive. Scorch doesn't display its current cooldown or when it's coming up and its damage just displays "10-30" Electrocute doesn't give you its cooldown, just "25-20 seconds" Same with glacial augment, just says "7-4 seconds" Grasp not showing how much damage or healing it will do Unsealed spellbook is too complicated to understand Don't even get me started on kleptomancy. It just says "if you use a spell, your next 2 autos either grant 5 gold or something better". Ok, what is this "something better". Neither does it give me the odds of each item appearing is each scenario.

Truth. I should ONLY have to go to the wiki if I'm looking for intricate details such as how a certain ability interacts with the effects of items or other abilities.

Considering Riot has been making a lot of changes to the client since the legacy version in order to make it more appealing and usable, I definitely think it would not only be aesthetically pleasing to have it accessible in-client but also convenient. Not needing to redirect to an underkept website UI for information that should be readily available is something that would most definitely see use.

On that regard, there are other quality-of-life changes like this that would be super awesome to see implemented into the client, but I slightly worry that it will make the client beefier and in turn buggier. I’m sure this is something that the Devs have to factor in, since just like the release of the new client (that is currently in-use) caused a lot of bugs to arrive, adding plenty more features leaves more room for the same issues. I doubt it will truly be a major factor that holds them back, but it’s worth pointing out so there’s not major disappointment if something like this was easily turned down or put off.

I am curious to see if this will actually be viewed by the Devs, since the post seems to be gaining a bit of traction at the least. To sum up, I am totally for more statistics and in-depth ability/champion analysis in-client, and would love to see it. I think it would help with the already-immense learning curve that League and other MOBAs have right off the bat, and would make the in-client experience more optimal and useful than it already is.
