How leaving a game to ensure a remake can cost you 50 mins of your time due to leaverbuster.
With the implementation of the remake system for cancelling games due to players not connecting, there should be no punishment for those who are unable to connect to the game due to either outside forces (internet getting dropped/throttled at the least opportune time) or having a player take troll summoners and notate that they're going to feed. Leaving a game an causing a remake due to the latter happening both saves you time and your teammates so they don't have to play out a game with someone on the team with no desire to win from champion select.
Here's the part nobody will sympathize with me on being the reason of my posting this. I had the wise idea of enacting such a feat due to our jungler switching from smite and implying they were going to feed. There wasn't enough time for me to dodge so I just closed the game and waited for it to be remade. I then received a notice saying that I had low priority queue for the next 5 match made games (10 mins each).
In an active attempt to lessen the amount of wait time to get into an actual game with players who plan to give it their all, Riot's almost unironically punished me for what I thought to be a noble act of kindness.
Yes I am depriving the enemy team of a game and wasting their time, however the game would have been severely one sided. It may sound strange but I think having a fighting chance is a much better game experience than just a stomp for a few mins; for both parties(teams) involved.
