Removing bans (and backtrack) from ARAM

Dear Riot Games.

This years Bilgewater event was fun. I had a lot of fun playing my favorite gamemode with my friends, and the recent changes made to ARAM made it even more enjoyable! Backtrack was a fun new summoner spell that I and a lot of other ARAM players enjoyed. But by far the best change made to ARAM was adding bans. Finally being able to ban champions who I don't like to fight in ARAM, or even ban champs I don't want to play. Arguable, most of ARAM players enjoyed this feature.

So how did you come to the conclusion to remove bans from ARAM? Bans in ARAM is by far the best change made to this gamemode that barely get any attention from Riot Games. I have not encountered a single person complaining about bans in ARAM, infact, I've encountered people who instead say that bans finally came to the gamemode.

I'm not that active in forums, but I can't possibly imagine ARAM players making enough forums post complaining about bans in ARAM for you to come to this conclusion.

**Please reconsider this. **

I think backtrack was probably a little op so I don't mind it being removed. Removing bans is lame af tho

Back track is a bit too strong, but bans need to stay

I really didn't like Backtrack. I felt like it was clunky in execution.

Bans though, I liked them. No more Veigar, Lux, or Vel'Koz was a blessing.

As someone that played mostly aram and dropped it completly after completing the event quests: bans aren't what made me quit but the stupid balance.

I know poke was too strong but instead either nerfing damage or buffing tanks you did both. Meaning unless you were an assasin or kaisa or vayne with 3 tanks to peel for you you'd do nothing but feed if you were a squishy champ.

So yeah, still not gonna come back to aram given these new measly balance changes: you adressed only like 10 champs. What a joke.

You guys nerfed turrets yet by buffing tanks AND nerfing damage aram became even slower in many games. In wich you are now perma cc'ed by unkillable tanks. And when you get to be the tank it's so braind dead it's still boring af.

I actually loved loved bans, but it wasn't enouh for me to keep playing arams. Also backtrack was good on some champions but I missed barriers in other champs. I wish we could have both options.

Bans made ARAM so much better that I literally cannot bear to play it again without them.

That's the issue though. It removes a bit of random. It almost creates the same issue like Aram accounts.

They should just allow you to pick whatever you if they are going to keep ban.

And I like vel. He's one of my favorite champions(in league, not just the mode). 😒

Veigar cage needs decreasing. Lux needs dmg decrease.

p.s. yes, I haven't played since season start, no fault of my own.

I still would have disagree with bans. Though, I would have ban champs I don't want to play. lol

They should a draft all mid. Which I know will be more popular than Aram. But will probably create more work for riot. lol

I even kept playing this AFTER the events were over because ARAM was actually so fun

Bans are here as far as I’m aware.

BB map is gone and it’s back to the regular ARAM map but there was still a ban phase when I did aram this morning.

Unless they changed it VERY recently since then the bans are there.
