Why Doesn't Pyke Teleport with his ult if he misses?

It seems a bit weird to me that Pyke doesn't go anywhere if he misses his ult. Sure, he could use it as an engage or emergency escape, but it would also mean if the enemy outplays him, he's stuck in the middle of their team.

I think it would be a great change if the first (non-reset) cast of Pyke's ult would move him to the target location regardless of if it hits or misses. That way, if he REALLY needs to get somewhere, he can burn his ult to do it, but he can't get in with it and get out using the reset (since the resets wouldn't have this). It would make it more rewarding to dodge Pyke's ult and leave him open to punishment.

Because he's not annoying enough already and needs more mobility, that's why.

This would also allow him to use it as an escape though

Pyke already has much mobility, giving him anymore would be ludicrous. His ult already gives him mobility, it's suppose to put him at a disadvantage in exchange for execute damage (even though in reality when are you even stuck after ulting?)

Pyke is weak he needs buffs not nerfs

Its not league without inconsistencies like Jax or LeeSin not being able to "jump" without a "target"

This would just be a QOL change that hardly changes Pyke in regards to playing against him. He can already use his E to jump a wall if necessary so giving his ultimate the ability to do so would just give him 2 chances to do so. Not a big deal if he blows ult to get over a wall either. That's a positive outcome in my view for both teams. Another QOL change he could use is making his ultimate's X shape turn so that if an enemy champion is within the radius of it one of the 4 prongs will still hit instead of smaller hitbox champions standing right next to the freaking center get missed for pretty much no real reason. It should have been a circle to begin with but whatever..

That is only fair. If he misses or somebody dodges, he must be punished hard. He's intended to be high risk high reward.

Moreover he does not need another escape tools.

Because Risk vs Reward has no place in Riot's design philosophies anymore.

He can't put himself at risk without the reward first, apparently.

You want a hyper mobile champ to have another form of mobility, albeit situational? Then you moan about mobility creep in the game.

As a pyke main I approve. Might lower some of his power because right now he isnt punished for missing his abilities unless he goes in.
