"Monopoly takes too long"
Meanwhile in Axis and Allies 1940 Pacific/Europe, setup took an hour, reading the rules took thirty minutes, and the siege of France ended 3 hours later. The US is now getting involved.

The game Monopoly is based off of (read: stolen from) is called The Landlord's Game, and it's about showing the bare and wart-riddled face of sketchy, shady and corrupt business practices and price gouging.
Just get the rulebooks to D&D 5e, or Pathfinder, or Starfinder and put those two/three hour cuts of your life to something infinitely more fun.
Monopoly doesn't take long as long as you follow two rules.
1: If somebody doesn't buy a space, it immediately goes up for auction. 2: Free Parking space does nothing.
Monopoly straight up breaks families lmao

Fuck Monopoly.

hearts of iron 4 multiplayer games often last 8-10 hours with half of it basically doing nothing but building your economy or doing research projects for 3 hours until ww2 kicks off.
Have you ever played D&D? A single campaign can take months or even years, it's frankly absurd. I will be in two different campaigns starting this week each one eating four hours of my week.
This is why I only play castles and catapults, crossfire, and full contact hungry hungry hippos.
What properties would be in League? Is there enough lore about the cities and towns to fill a board?
