I'd really like to play League a lot, but after I have a good game, I tend to get a lot of terrible ones that just make me keep queuing over and over until it happens again, which can take hours and make me miserable. Is it a good idea to just stop playing after a good win so that I don't have to subject myself to that?

No, you shouldn't do either of those options. What you should do is after you have a terrible game that makes you miserable, take a break. Walk around the house, pet an animal or something, then come back with a fresh head. You'll be more likely to win your next game that way.
If you don't want to actually stop playing then just play an ARAM or something. If you are losing though it is better to take a break because often whether you like it or not, you take that tilt from your last loss into your new game.
As a bronzie who carried himself to silver this season, try that for sure but also take time to see where you went wrong after every game and also check your builds
