Opal for harmony Ruby for vigor Sapphire for divinity Emerald for insight
I am not a Taric main but I play him every once in a while and I have a decent memory.
Truly outrageous?
Old Taric was more fun and had more agency than Meme Taric.
GEMS
He still says "Ruby for Vigor" if you buy a Ruby Crystal.
Old Taric Q > New Taric Q
Old Taric W isn't really comparable to New Taric W
Old Taric E was more reliable (point-and-click stun lol), but New Taric E is more useful in a team fight, if you can pull it off
Old Taric R #1 ... ehhh, the +AD aura would certainly be more useful in this current LOL DAMAGE LOL meta, but the increased mana cost per second was ... boring Old Taric R #2 ... more fun to smash the ground with your hammer for AOE damage and the +AD/+AP aura has more versatility, and the fixed duration means you dont feel obligated to stack mana to get the most out of it, like Old Taric R #1 New Taric R ... is just boring. A delayed, mass Kayle ult, yeah -- it has more "WTF OUTPLAYED LOL!" potential, but it's just not fun. It lacks the satisfaction of making a clutch play (like Kayle's ult) and there's really no way for the enemy team to counter-play, except to disengage entirely
As for passives ... I dunno. Current passive is boring. None of Taric's passives have been particularly inspired.
~ bitter, dude-smooching (former) Taric main
There was this video of an epic prank phonecall to a jeweler and the guy imitated taric ordering a Doran ring with an emerald (for insight!) but it has been removed :(
Where is Taric the Gay when you need him? I'm positive he would approve of this post. However it is lacking Ezreal.
