Just a few comments from other ppl that show how much of an ape RITO is.

I've lost track of how many perma bans I've gotten. Stop caring after like the 4h one though. Now I just roll a new account every day to make sure I have one when the inevitable happens. It was actually kinda cute when Rito gave me a 1 day suspension from the forum.
This punishment system that riot introduced in 2015 hands out perma bans like it's candy on halloween. In the old system i would get a chat restriction for being negative in chat, but in the new system i got permabanned and lost my account that i had since 2013 and played well over 1000 games in. Been permabanned over 20 times now and honestly don't give much of a fuck anymore.
Madae (NA) - about 7 hours ago lol, I've been banned for years... was even banned from the forum, but I guess they forgot to include that in their forum update... I've tried asking them to overturn it a half dozen times, and all they do is respond in a passive aggressive manner and refuse, no matter what I say.
The whole system is asinine, tbqh. They can't stop people from making new accounts, and all they're doing is taking your money and running with it. Could have literally just slapped on a permanent silence and the problem would have been solved forever, or done the smart thing and removed chat with the enemy altogether. I wouldn't have given up playing or spending money.
Blizzard, Hi-Rez, Epic, Valve ... all these companies have the right idea. Riot thinks they can change the world and determine who joins their "exclusive little club", but they're just limiting their playerbase more and more. I wonder how much money they've thrown away by going ape with their ban spree at the start of the Tribunal. Coincidentally, the people most likely to spend money are probably the same people who get so competitive with the game that they start throwing insults when they expect one thing but get another.
On a side note, the same thing I did in League I've been doing in other mobas ever since and not once have I been silenced, suspended or banned. Funny how that works... Riot tried to be "PC", but ended up shooting themselves in the foot instead. You can not even begin to argue that the Tribunal has made their game any more "toxic free". In fact, it probably made people more likely to do it, and they always come back as a gigantic "FU" to authority.
DeezNutzz27 (NA) - about 5 hours ago yeah this whole perma ban bullshit is just fucking stupid!!!! I'ts called FREEDOM OF SPEECH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This Riot Inc are petty for this rule. Like a bunch of fucking crybabies. I hope this game stops making money and goes bankrupt.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"I only defended myself against toxic premades"
I was recently banned on my main because i gave my opinion on how someone was playing. I got flamed by 3 pre made players because i told their friend to stop feeding. Riot bans people if you call others stupid for feeding, yet publishes a video calling everyone noobs. I've been banned for calling people noobs in the past..... Riot hypocrisy. Free speech silencers.

Because it's entirely Riot's fault that you have to use your chat to insult other players within the game.
When people come to play a game that takes so much time out of their day, why wouldn't someone get upset? Its a game. Football players don't get kicked out for saying insults on the field. There's a difference between being toxic and being opinionated. Flaming is one thing. Having an argument shouldn't warrant bans unless there are threats made. Just like in real life. If you can't handle words, get off the internet. Get out of games where people show emotion.

A ban well deserved (;
Telling people to stop feeding isn't helpful. It's just annoying. Why don't you tell someone some helpful strategies if they are feeding?
Actually I did. Many times. Told them to focus farming and not fight so we could get caught up. First thing I did was give helpful suggestions. Maybe you shouldn't assume....

Plenty, actually.
Riot can much more easily ban your account than you level a new one. And if you're so toxic that you get permabanned, why are you surprised when it happens a second time after no change in your behavior?
It is not on Riot to put the filter on you. Riot is simply holding you accountable for being irresponsible with your chat. You abusing it is not an excuse to remove it for everyone else.
I never said I was permabanned more than once. This is my only account that has been banned from the game. The other two i made since then haven't had a single issue. Today was probably the first time in over a year that I've played, too (and what a super-exciting, troll filled game it was! But not me.).
My problem isn't with the fact that I was banned, my problem is that there was money on the account I can no longer access, they aren't stopping people from playing, and they refuse to find other means to combat this "issue", on top of being utterly unwavering in their decision to keep that account and my content locked from me forever. There should be a law against that.
This was also during the start of the Tribunal, and of course much has changed in how they go about doing that. Rules were missing. Warnings, emails, and such. There was no information telling me I would get permabanned from the game. It just happened. Three strike rule without the rule.
I've played more games of HotS, Smite and DotA that are more troll free than this game, too. Clearly it's not a system that is working very well for Riot. DotA is especially surprising, since they have open chat too, but hardly anyone used it in the games I played. HotS and Smite... you can't even talk to the enemy until after the game is over (in Smite, at least). That system works far better for minimizing "toxic behavior" than this system ever did, and they don't fly off the handle and ban everyone for doing it either. You get silenced, you get in "leaver" queue, you're kept away from "serious" games. I just don't understand the attitude Riot has towards this, because they aren't changing anyone or anything. This forum, this thread, the very game you play in is a clear indicator of that, whether you like it or not.
