Can trunks beat perfect cell if he trained in hyperbolic chamber 4 years?

Lets assume this happened in one of the parallel universes where all the events leading up to the cell game happened the same way. The only difference being that Teen Gohan lost to cell in the cell games and was killed. After the fight, Cell killed Goku and Vegeta, followed by trying to hunt down the rest of the z-fighters. Assuming there was a way such as using the dragon balls to allow trunks to train for another 4 days on top of the 2 days he trained in there previously, would Trunks be able to train himself strong enough to defeat perfect cell or at least get close to his level? Assuming the other z-fighters were willing to sacrifice themselves to buy time for Trunks to train. The main difference here between normal training and Trunk's training mentality will be that Trunks would see all his friends die before his eyes and will cause him to train harder.

As a different question, in the same scenario, if Trunks is prohibited to use the time machine or the Dragon Balls for a different purpose, however, he is allowed to do things such as talk to King Kai.....Is there another way he can deal with that scenario against the cell threat and save Earth?

DBZ is literally a questeion of who has the bigger number

Dragon Ball Super has Ultra Instinct which has a bigger number than SSBlue + Kaioken whcih has a bigger number than SSBlue which has a bigger number than SSGod which has a bigger number than SS3 which has a bigger number than SS2 which has a bigger number than SS1 which has a bigger number than Kaioken

And Saiyans get to break the number game more by just having a limitless skill cap since they get more power from losing

Because of this two little girls from Universe 6 can beat up Goku easily because that universe has the bigger number on their Saiyans even without the power-ups

So yeah the answer to your question is that any Saiyan can beat any opponent given enough training because Dragonball doesn't care about tactics it cares about muh power level and breaking your limits

Probably.

Yes? Hybrid vigor holds true for saiyan hybrids. They lack the natural need to keep progressing and battle instincts of full-blooded saiyans, but have the potential to progress faster, and possibly further. 4 years is a long time, granted he would progress further with a sparring partner.

Look at the Buu saga. The most powerful entity left standing is (probably) Mystic Gohan. Trunks, at various times, definitely surpasses Goku and Vegeta, if only for conflated timelines.

ahem (not the rage > blue, that's silly)

The only question I had when I read the title was 'Does Trunks know that pure power won't beat Cell?' Since this is after perfect Cell beats him, then yes, he does. In that case, he should easily be able to get to SSJ2 and become stronger than Gohan and Cell.
