I'm currently Gold 5 with Gold 3 MMR, when the next season starts will my Soft Reset MMR be closer to MMR (Gold 3) or my current rank (Gold 5)

probably like low silver, but who really knows. Just don't expect a lot from your placements

I was plat 4 end of last season, climbed to plat 3 70-ish lp in the preseason, and then got placed in silver 2.

I believe the "accepted but not verified" values of the soft reset are: (Current MMR + 1200)/2 So in that case your "Non accurate" starting point will be around 1400

Shouldn't be too bad. Last year I finished Silver 1 and got placed in Silver 4 this year. Although it is worth noting I did quite poorly in my promos, only winning 3/10.
