EDIT: After 10 days of not getting assistance. Or being treated like I wasn't human I'm giving up. Rest in peace my account. Taken far to soon, and for the dumbest of reasons.

TL;DR: I thought my account was stolen. Got it locked. Found out it wasn't, I just mistyped the password. Now they won't unlock it even though I have the email and password.

My account is being held hostage by riot support. Let me give you a little background first. 2-3 days ago I woke up after working a 50 hour work week and getting up at 5am to take care of my 1 year old daughter. Finally I had a day off and decided to get on this account. Yes this one that I'm logged into right now. I've been the sole owner of this account at least 6 years. I made this account. I leveled this account from level 1 to 30. I have other accounts and play on this account every few months. I've been playing a really long time you see and I have accumulated quite a few accounts, while having none of my accounts banned. So anyways back to the story. I decided to play on this account. And I messed up the password. And I thought well thats strange. And I tried several times and then I figured oh no someone stole my account. So I tried to figure out what email I had this account under. And I couldn't figure it out. So I wrote support off of another email and asked them to help me get my account back. They just hit me with the generic fill this out and if you answer everything correct we'll help you. Anyways they came back and said I was denied. Okay. Thats fine. I guess. Anyways a day passes and I remember my password. It turns out the password I was trying to put in was off by 1 digit. I know its not good but all of my passwords use two numbers in them. But this account only uses one number digit. I had completely forgotten. So wala I log into the account with the correct password and bam I'm hit with the this account is locked due to suspicious activity. No biggy I think to myself. I have access to the correct password now and after logging into the boards I seen the first 3 letters to the email associated to this account. I remember my email from those first 3 digits and tada! I have access to the email associated with this account as well. So now I have the password and email connected to my account. So lets try this again I think. I message support and they hit me with the generic fill this form out if you get everything correct we'll maybe help you. Nope denied again. I mean I made the account 6-8 years ago. I have half a dozen accounts. All that I leveled alone and created myself. I put hundreds of hours into all of these accounts.

So now I'm being denied entry into my account. When I have the password, email, and I have to assume correct IP address. The only reason my accounts is locked at all is because I made a support request to help me get my password back. This is turning out to be a huge mistake on my part. I don't understand how if I'm the reason the account got locked, and then with that same account I say everything is all good now let me back into my account they keep me locked out?

Support doesn't read anything either. They just say no you're denied move along. Like hell I'm just going to accept my account is just lost into the void because I made a single digit mistake when typing my password in. What I don't understand is even if I say all the incorrect account creation info stuff. So long as I have the email, password, and general knowledge of the account why am I being denied entry? It's beyond frustrating. I just want to talk to a human who isn't reading from a script and understands that 6-8 years is a long time to remember what my first 5 champions were, or what exact date it was I made the account.

EDIT: He replied with another generic response. He thinks I did something wrong. Even though I am the reason the account was closed. I don't know what I have to do to convince these people that this is my account. I'm litterally conversing with this guy through the email this account is linked to.

EDIT 2:

Here is the full discussion basically with riot support. The first one was before I had access and I was typing to them through gmail. The 2nd one is through the email linked to this account on yahoo. Both emails are exactly the same name actually which makes me feel silly. The only difference is one is yahoo and the other is gmail.

EDIT 3:

So another guy came to reiterate what the other guy said. I've broken terms of use in some way. They refuse to tell me anything though. And when I go to log into the account it doesn't say I'm banned just that the account is locked. I'm so confused. Am I perma banned? With no explanation why? I've been the sole player on this account for at least 6 years. I've never used 3rd party software. I've never cheated. I mean why not tell me why my account is being stolen from me? If I haven't cheated, or botted then there is no reason to keep it a secret right? I just don't understand.

I mean the last 2 games in the match history played months ago are friends of mine I know in real life. They can vouch for me. One of them is who got me into the game in beta. https://i.imgur.com/r5HJ6j3.png

Going through support is pointless. So if anyone can just bump this thread or maybe has an idea about what I should do please post it here. I feel like my next step is to go to reddit and hope someone cares enough there to help me.

Like the guy from support didn't even really read the case. Here is me talking to him from this accounts associated email address. The way he is wording things makes it seem like he thinks I got my account locked from bad behavior, or using a third party software. I legit just forgot my password, and now I don't get my account back even though i remembered the password. He just sends me this generic message saying I'm shit out of luck.

Like just let me be able to log in is all I am asking for. I don't even need them to reset the password because I remember it now. Like if I was someone else why would I want to flag the account to get it locked? If i was someone else with access to the email why wouldn't I just change all of that info? The last thing someone who is trying to steal an account who has all the necessary information to log into that account would do is try and talk to riot support. Just let me have my account back.

Riot does ban accounts incorrectly. I had an account permabanned for "botting" once. All because I had challenged myself to play from levels 1 through 30 in normals using nothing but my mouse to control my champion. Seems weird, I know. But I legit refused to press any buttons on the keyboard. I had to actually click my flash, then click where I wanted to flash to. Yep. It was terrible.

But I thought it might help make the games more fair if I did that, since I was up against noobs. I didn't want to crush them so bad. I hated that I had to play against new players, just to get a new account going for myself. But it forces you to play hundreds of games to go from level 1 to 30. I felt like that was unfair to them. Anyway, the account got banned because apparently, if you don't press keys, and you do everything with the mouse, riot's anti-cheat will think you are a bot. Yikes. I sent an email to support and explained that I had controlled the game with only one hand, and they instantly unbanned the account, claimed that my account was banned by accident (yeah right), and gave me a free chest in my loot inventory (one of the nicer chests).

So if you don't want to be permabanned, be sure to shake both hands and wiggle all ten of your toes, each time you see a Riot logo. lol.

Maybe try contacting a riot employee through twitter, also riot roams a lot around r/leagueoflegends on reddit, try posting there and if it gets upvoted enough theres a change a riot employee might see it there.

Honestly you should keep blowing up support in the process of putting your message on multiple sites

You need to blow up the issue on multiple platformers incase a Rioter can intervene AND you need to keep pressure on support. After enough times asking they're going to pay attention to it, the fact they're lazily dismissing it is a common issue since they get lots of support tickets and need to get through them quickly. You need to get in contact with a higher up and keep pressure on them.

Every time I deal with Riot support it's the same thing. They clearly don't read my issue and send me a passive aggressive response about why they're unable to help me, sometimes this response not even being related to what I'm messaging them about. It's frustrating beyond belief.

I would call riot support directly. I had a problem earlier this year with my PSN account. Online support couldn't help, but their call support tries to work with you.

A few things to remember.

A red hasn't responded to this thread because its the weekend and Riot offices are closed on the weekend, it's very rare to get a red response these days, but Monday might yield some results. But then again, red's don't frequent the forums, to begin with, so you might get better results on Reddit.

With that be said.

I had my account stolen a little awhile ago and support did help me get it back. In the end, it all has to do with that list of security questions they ask you. Where your account was made, what your first skin and 5 champion was, these are all things you should know and can find out easily by going into your accounts purches history in the shop (A little tip their for next time) I think the most important question they ask you is WHERE you created your account, what country, city, province. This is something you should definitely know, no excuse really unless you move every year.

You said you have multiple accounts. Why? Why do you feel the need to smurf so much? You obvious don't care about the accounts, to begin with, if you constantly make new ones. I'm not trying to scold here but if you had just one account like intended this wouldn't have happened to begin with. When you are constantly making new accounts, important information you should know about them gets lost and misplaced easily and thus when something like this does happen you get screwed out of your hard work.

Seriously, if someone says help me get my account back you don't keep spamming the same BS about how they're denied when they put in the request. People forget stuff all the time, especially when they have multiple accounts. I started to keep a book on all my passwords/email etc because I got sick of this stuff. I really hope you can get your account back man. Customer Support through most companies is completely useless, my boyfriend uses Straight Talk and every time he renews they screw it up. We called them back for the 3rd time for the same problem and asked if they could just read the account notes and fix it the way they did last time since it's a reoccurring issue and NONE of them knew how to do anything except read from a script and then continuously forwards us to someone else. Absolute incompetence.

My account is 8 years old and was stolen, with the email changed a couple of weeks ago. I went through the live chat on the ticket and got it fixed in about 15 minutes. Granted this was after a couple of my own mistakes and perhaps an error on the website locked my ticket into this account, which I couldn't log into, and I was prompted to log off to submit a 2nd account stolen ticket (to use the live chat). My answers were far from perfect but I guess remembering what skins I have sent and received through mystery gift helps.

You gotta understand that they're just people and without that information being correct, they have no basis on which to believe that you're actually the account owner. I only remember my first 2 champs and my first 2 skins, I remember all 3 refund uses and a couple of gifts received but that was enough. I would be furious and incredibly stressed in your situation, and I know what I'm saying is NOT what you want to hear but you GOTTA understand their position.
