Chat banned for the word "Idiot"

Ok so i was chat restricted for 10 games because i used the phrase "Idiot". I then went into a Live chat with someone and they responded with "(03:09:45 PM) TeliaKalisto: Calling other players idiots is worthy of a chat restriction". Not at the fact that i swore. I then further spoke with this person and said that because i was being bullied i shouldn't defend myself.... I then further stated that the enemy thresh and sion were defending me, which he/she responded "(03:15:38 PM) TeliaKalisto: I have seen cases where a person was defending another person and he got suspended"

Let me just clarify, I dont flame too often, im normally a chilled player, however when i get blamed for something that isnt my fault i had to step up, and yet i get punished... I just dont understand riot at all....

Or maybe because you were consistently talking about your teammates in a derogatory fashion. It has nothing to do with your specific use of the word "idiot" and more that you were an asshole to your top laner and jungle.

the best thing to do in LoL is to refuse to communicate with your team, because communicating in a team game will not help you win

Idiot or not, you were generally negative throughout the match. The support worker could've just pointed that out and the end result is the same - you got off with the equivalent of a light warning for failing to control yourself. Learn from the mistake, move on with life.
