The problem with "reporting"
So im'a make this as short as i can with little ranting. recently my account was suspended (not the point of this post) and it was cause i flamed the guy who was flaming me during the game. he had a duo who also was flaming but it was mainly his buddy Im sure Plenty of you guys had the same problem i had that u get flammed and you respond to the flame with flame and then u get in trouble. you go ahead and wait for the notification to come to let u know that they ALSO got in trouble but..... it never comes. Thats cause for what EVER reason the report system is set up that if SOMEONE gets punished then thats it! there is mechanic so that EVERYONE that was flaming gets in trouble but the guy who gets the most votes which is nonsense in duo ranked and god FORBID a premade in norms.
Now i totally understand that people response will be "just mute them"but let me tell u the problem with that
The problem with just muting people is the fact it doesn't STOP them from talking trash or flaming u. so even if YOU cant see it the rest of the team can still see the flame and act accordingly. either they agree and also start flaming u in chat which would lead to u ALSO have to block them( and lets not forget that muting people just piss most of them off even more). or they disagree and then u see the whole thing play out in the chat even tho ur trying to mute the original person. Then we Also have to talk about the fact that AFTER all that happened god forbid u ACTUALLY make a mistake that will empower the trolls and now EVERYONE is talking about u. now of course theyre people that will say just /mute all then. that wont help u at all though simply because if u do u will have no communication anymore with your team. gold and lower divisions (that actually house more than 50 percent of the player base) dont use pings effectively and will even say your being toxic if u try to use your pings to often.
So whats the solution? bring back the tribunal. If riot doesnt have the time/ man power to be able to go case by case like it was before then how can we feel like were getting justice? that the word report means anything if your not in a duo or in a group for it to add power behind the report. i feel like we should have leniency for rage of passion. which means that its a instant rage, not continuous or over the line. i.e if your mid lane and your 30 percent health and lower in mana, you see the jungler coming who is also low to gank your lane. your SPAM pinging NOT to come or else u guys will die. he does anyways and of course u go to help him and give your laner a double kill. in that moment if you was to say something toxic as in " why the fuck would u do that??" or something in that area its forgivable because you have just cause. or its under rage of passion.
i feel like since league is SO complicated with all the mechanics you cant just say o well you called him a idiot so ban.
