Not sure how much you read about net neutrality, but it's removal will not bankrupt the United States.
The only thing that's changing is that people are now going to have to pay more money for the internet

Well. It´s just idiotic to remove it.
Just this way. Today anyone pays some amount of money and companys like Riot pay to have an internet access to their customers.
NEW:
It´s just about providers and advertising wich want to make money on both sides (and even more). Not only Riot should pay for access to the net but customers should pay in addition more for the same access to Riot. Advertisers and providers get additional informations about the customers - no need for cookies any longer - just have a look on their internet-portfolio.
Would be easy to say "hey companys, pay for your access or let your customers pay you for it". But that is neither generating that amount of money or generating access to customers.
-> Any provider can easily collect money with the argument he does have to built up wires. As money goes into a intransparent pool named "income" of the provider noone can prove it to be wrong. And it is a "granted income". The behaviour of this income is others then it would be for a company. If a company like Riot does a bad job it looses money or in other words customers. If Riot would have to pay for the access and/or the customers of riot VIA Riot we all could see it and the source of money would dry up (or would have been). NEW: the source of money never dries up for the internet-providers but rises (because they are the new information gatekeepers for advertisers) and there is no risk for them.

Peoples are dumb. But - that´s how it goes the way in life. Go further on - just know that are all idiots arround you.
