About "It's only normal" players and what does strategy should mean...

i'm hungarian so please don't care about my grammatical mistakes. I just want to see some things clear and talk about serious problems in this game... this topic is about DRAFT games.

I get it that the game is about fun. I get it that players want to try new things. But seriously every time I see this "it's only normal" sentece i lose. Literally. Every people who say this would never try to win the game or probably troll. Their other favourite sentence is "i play for fun".

Normal game means you won't lose LP. You don't have to worry about your rank. But it's still part of a TEAMWORK and STRATEGY game and this means that you MUST think and do your best for your mates! Love when people trying to say that "i do what i want how i want, and i take any champs to any lanes as i want". Sorry but no, you can't do that! Not when you are playing teamwork games! If everyone do everything they want and don't care about the enemy or combos or counters or anything than that's madness and chaos, exactly the opposite of teamwork and strategy! Why do people think that just becasue they are not at a ranked they have the right to ruin games and copy absolutely-non-clickbaiter-streamers new OMG CRZ ZILEAN INSANE DMG TOP INSTWIN WTF???!!! videos!

Strategy requires thinking. I'm not against non meta picks. In fact i play Galio as support since he was reworked. The first days many people thought that i'm trollicker but it was working and since those days a lot of guys using him as supp.

But every time i tried a non meta pick i used my brain and asked myself questions like: can this champ defend the adc? Is it good in teamfights?... etc.

Every time i see trollpickers (like AD crit Sona jugler in ranked, true story...) i can't understand why didn't they think before they took the champ into pvp. Even without trying it's obvious why shouldn't this pick work but some ppl just too dumb to understand this. PLEASE, think before you act! It's not hard and also the part of the game.

"I don't care about the game" or "idc if we lose"... HOW can you don't care about the game you actually play? How can you join a game and decide that you don't want to win? PLS in teamwork strategy game there is NO option like that becasue that's the opposite of the meaning of these words! Why would you play a game you don't want to win? WHy would you ruin other's game with no reason? Why would you risk punishment and nearly 40 minutes from your day for that?

Also... you can buy items. You buy those to kill enemies or defend yourself or ward. So these people want to tell me that they buy DMG but they don't want to kill the enemy? That they buy wards but they don't care if they are killed? PLS most people never heard of simple logic what is the main part of MOBAS! Please think, please respect others, pls try to be better and understand that TEAMWORK games are about your TEAM not about you and your funny-troll pick! Troll with bots! You can't do this with strangers and you don't have the right to do this! If you still want this you don't understand the basics of this game and you shouldn't be here!

you shouldn't play normals with the mindset of wanting to win above all.. that should be for ranked, I play normals to relax, try new stuff, warm up, whatever

In my experience, most of the people I've seen that say "it's only normals" are people who are telling it to a toxic player. I would say "tryhards", but it's not inherently a bad thing to want to win every game if possible.

But for those players who rage at their teammates, who spam the enemy missing ping, who only focus on mistakes made... saying "it's only normals" to them is fine.

As a card carrying member of the I play for fun group I say this to people that seem to find something wrong in anything and everything other than themselves. Case in point game is going well no one is way ahead a rare even match across the board. But something happens and someone dies "unexpectedly" and it starts and snowballs from there. I'll not go into the details of the choice of words but it's all of the you suck bronze so on and so on type of thing. So yea "it's only normals" is perfectly normal here as is playing to have fun. Well other than the "that guy" these things don't seem like things to flip out over. People need to understand that going off on someone isn't going to solve anything. I've recovered from bad matches on a number of occasions due to my team being cool and in some cases offering REAL truly helpful advice. The flip side of the coin for me personally is when/if I realize you are "one of those guys" and I do some preemptive muting.

So yea I may fail like a day one pleb wanting to try new things and/or expand my champion pool. The thing is I can't and wont ever promise not to. I'll do my damnedest not to but being that I play for fun I don't spend near the time that people seem to expect me to on the game to learn every little detail and nuance.

As said above, if you are so competitive, go ranked. Normals IS for fun, "troll" or anything else. Ranked is where you need to be competitive (not to be confused with toxic). I go normals for one of the following reasons: to get my skill back, to learn some things in a radical way, to have fun with absurd picks/builds. I really don't care if somebody is mad, he just gets muted and reported, it doesn't stop me. I have my own approach to normals, and it doesn't lose anybody lp's.

Yeah nothing says fun like a 1/15 AD TF mid with a vision score of 0 who is obviously trolling. But hey, its norms. Let him have fun. Nothing wrong with that.
