I fucking hate online preorders

We all know what happens when you release a high demand, low quantity item for pre-order: people set up bots, buy them all up in the blink of an eye, then scalp it up over on eBay or Amazon. It's fucking ridiculous and so anti-consumer that I just wish online preordering was done away with.

The SNES mini is already gone. There is no chance of getting one now because we all know Nintendo will only ship it once and call it good.

i doubt anyone thinks favorably of nintendo's intentional shortages they create every year with their new product of choice, thankfully these things are idiotic as all hell, they're just emulators in a plastic shell, literally the most pointless things on earth

lol the only valid reason to buy one of those SNES mini systems is to resell it. Besides theres plenty of SNES controllers for PC,Android etc that can be used with emulators, heres one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1lKaPo9W54

This one is wireless but theres plenty of good wired ones on Amazon.

I initially read the title as "I fucking hate online predators" and was about to ask if you were ok lol.

So uh........are you ok?

This isn't a problem with online preorders even if those things have problems.

This is because nintendo doesn't really give a crap about its fans.

The retailers being idiots are to blame too.

Amazon and Wal-Mart both set up different pages for the preorders they had. There exists a page on both sites for the snes classic, where you can sign up for an email alert; when they actually had preorders, they set up different entries.

This doesn't fight bots, it fights normal people. Bots just crawl their site as a whole, normal people try to get help from email alerts. Bots don't care when you set up a different page but normal people get fucked.
