Stop making threads asking for champs to get skins, and

Start making threads asking people to buy the existing skins for that champion. That's how you get new skins made. If people are gonna continue to buy Yasuo skins and not Vel'koz skins, then Riot's going to continue to make Yasuo skins. They're going to use the people they pay to make skins to make skins that will make the company money.

So if you can get people to show that skins for that champion make money, they'll do it. You're not going to get anywhere with just the backing of a less-popular champion's reddit community.

Boards: "Give unpopular champions skins!"

Also boards: Never plays unpopular champions, giving Riot no reason to make skins for them

Really. Even if you're not going to buy the skins, at least play the champion enough.

most unpopular champions' skins suck ass though thats why we ask for new skins

Take a champion like Zoe for an example. Zoe was released 11/21/17, since then she has only received one skin in just under a two years. If riot were to do this with every champion regardless of popularity they would lose money. Yes a new Kindred skin sounds nice, but be honest would you actually buy it? As much as I love the thought of a new Kled skin I probably wouldn’t buy it because I don’t play Kled so why waste my money. It’s thing like that that roof look at and consider when making new skins, I wish more people would consider this. So next time you wanna harass Riot for some stupid skin you want how about you consider if you would buy it, if not then would at least 40% of the player base buy it?

So you expect us to buy ugly, out of date-skins in order to make riot do better skins for them?

Reminds me of Baker Pantheon. It was the 2nd most requested skin every (only second to Dragon Master Swain) and people literally begged Riot for years to make it. Riot did end up making it, aaaaaaand no one bought it. From what I've remember Riot's outright said it was a monetary loss for them. People liked the IDEA of the skin existing, but they didn't want to buy it. Sure, it'd be nice if say Kalista or Rek'Sai got another skin. But let's be honest, are you really gonna buy it? Is it really worth it for Riot to spend months making a new skin only 100 people will buy?

You forget that it's riots responsibility to make certain champions more appealing than others.

What you're asking Is unreal: immagine a thread telling people to buy skarner skins so skarner gets more.

Why would you kai'sa player spend your money on a skarner skin, if you don't like the character, nor the skins.

If people don't like the existing skins, most logical thing would be to ask for more interesting ones.

The biggest demographic that would buy skarner skins would be his mains, and maybe a small number of people interested by them.

A kai'sa skin bought only by his playerbase would still mean 30% of the playerbase, and more "outsiders"

Conclusion Is that riot has to acknowledge that of 134 champions, some will be more profitable than others (check).
It has to put apart its greedynees (hard pill to swallow, but prove me wrong, especially in these recent patches) and promote its own champions.

Because good skins can be attractive, as buffs are

What I don't understand is when people bring the word "deserve" into it. "My champ DESERVES a skin! That champ shouldn't get one because they don't DESERVE one!" Like the fuck? Since when do video game characters "Deserve" things. I think what they really mean is that they think that THEY deserve skins to use, it has nothing to do with the champions.

Well i bought all velkoz skins on both of my accounts and play him 24/7. What more can i do?

Ayzev7/15/2019, 8:42:44 AM1 votes

One can just as well argue that if people buy a champion's existing skins, then there's no need to make new skins for that champion, the money is already flowing.

It would make more sense to say that playing the champions that you want new skins for more will encourage Riot to make that happen. But then again, Xerath hasn't gotten jackshit in an entire 4 years, despite pretty much always being at a just barely below average pick rate, so I wouldn't bet on that working out either.

That wouldn't work for champs like Ornn and Taliyah since they only have one skin (worlds not included + limited availability) because you are limited to one skin. Because champs like Lux have an insane amount of skins the number of skins to be purchased is way higher, so when riot looks at the stats, they will be seeing a higher number for lux than champs w/o that much
