So i bought the God-King Garen package for 150 tokens because mostly i wanted the Border, however i did not know that i could only use it when i played as God-King Garen, and i don't even own that skin, it did not explain to the player at all that you need the skin to use the border!
Please Riot Games, i wasted 150 tokens on something i can't use because you didn't add a note that said you can't use it if you don't have the skin!
The last time they did an event like this with borders to unlock, people fell for the same thing. Think it was for Star Guardians. They really do need to add more warnings, or even stop you from purchasing it if you don't own the skin altogether. Much like Chromas in the shop, you can't buy a chroma for a skin you don't own.

well boarders should be running like that since they only come once and never again... so maybe in future u will get god king garen and then u will be able tou se this boarder
I doubt it will work, but it would be worth a shot sending a support ticket to see if you can get them back, if not you have a neat border once you get the skin.
In the future Id suggest investing some time into researching into things like that before you buy them. As olean said;
You don't see things like Star Guardian borders on Dark Star skins, or PROJECT Yasuo's border on High Noon Yasuo, so just from that alone you should pick up on the fact that borders are relevant to the skins they're made for.
mistakes happen, thats fine. Just make sure you know for sure what you are getting into before you get things like this.
Im aiming for that same border but I dont think Ill buy the skin for a little while as I dont play enough to give me an excuse to at the time. Since I dont play much Ill take as many tokens as I can get before the event ends and spend it accordingly. I would go for the Darius skin/border, but I already have dunkmaster so I dont need to buy another skin for him
