Why isn't Kai'sa banned more often in competitive?
I know this worlds she has to be played in over 75% of games and it seems any adc that players her always goes nuts and pops off
why don't they just ban her?

Honestly, given current performances, Red side should be permabanning Kai'sa and possibly Urgot as well. Those two are just insane, but especially Kai'sa. I know the analysts mentioned that she's considered the best late game carry in the game right now. To not ban her just seems silly and I can't think of other bans that are more worthy than her....maybe Akali.
I think it's because marksmen as a class are still too interchangeable because they mostly all rely on the same bread-and-butter targeted ranged autoattacks, so banning the top-tier marksmen doesn't make a huge difference when the next fall-back is 95% the same power level, 99% strategically the same role for their team comp, and feels 90% the same to play as so even practice/experience with most marksmen kits are mostly interchangeable.
The difference between something like 
vs 
vs 
vs 
vs 
is comparatively much larger in regards to team role and how much practice with one translates to playing the others than is 
vs any other top-tier marksman.

From the one game i recall seeing i think Urgot is way scarier in good hands than kai sa is unless she gets fed.

Because teams only get 3 Bans before first pick. The team that is picking first normally tries to leave 1 broken champ up so they get a broken champ and the team the picks second gets crap. So often she doesn't get banned because teams are looking to ban

If they arent banning her they dont think shes an issue. At the end of the day, shes an adc, meaning shes an int machine. Its generally better to ban picks with more utility and usefullness, because you can just smack an adc with CC and it doesnt really matter who they are, theyll just pop.
They need a silver 3 analyst.
