Matchmaking

Since its a new season, everyone says, "it'll be rough since it's a new season and you need to wait a certain amount of time for people to get in their right ranks.." but why does it feel literally the exact same as before? Broken one-sided matches where even if we somehow do good either one player throws the entire game or we simply just lose because of the champs they choose. It doesn't fucking help that Ive had first pick 7 games in a row where ive been counterpicked all 7 games and still managed to win a majority of it. But thats not the point, how is matchmaking still so broken?
