After all the constant complaining about the new blue essence system, and Riot outright LYING to people with their claims that you will still earn just as much blue essence as you used to earn LP... they aren't changing it?

I just got my level 10 chest, the special chest you get every 10 levels? Yes it was actually a special chest. Was blue and was called some, champion chest or something.

Guess what I got out of it?

A skin shard, a ward skin shard, and 500 orange essence.

Want to know what I got for blue essence?

Ashe Champion Shard. Ashe is given to all players for free. Disenchanting her is worth 80 blue essence.

From a special level 10 chest, I got 80 essence, which took me 5 matches to level up, where in the old system I would have gotten on average 350 essence from those 5 matches.

So that's it huh, pull out your credit card or never get to play another champion? Because at this rate, it's going to take me 6 levels before I can even buy a cheap 450 champion.

Oh sorry, my mistake. I will update this with an important notice that the Ashe shard is actually worth much more than I said in this post. I must have misread the shard.

Ashe is actually worth 90 essence, not 80. My mistake.

Once you hit 30, you will have enough BE from disenchanting to get everyone 450 champion, 7 1350, then enough for anyone champion of your choice. Until about lvl 32, the amount of BE you gain is higher then the amount of IP you would have gained with the old system.
