Does anyone know how the AR was achieved, was it somehow live so that the people at the event were able to witness it? I have been trying to wrap my head about it but just dont know the tech and google is not forthcoming with how it was achieved.
I would imagine holograms being displayed on top of real people who were attached to a crane via vest so that Ahri could fly. It reminded me of Psycho-Pass level technology. Maybe some lighting/Mirror effects to make Evelyn disappear and re-appear.
We don't have any evidence that it's any kind of fancy AR at all, It could just be CGI with a live video feed and scripted camera movements.
Occlusion AR takes a shitton of effort to do and the results for a onetime thing aren't as impressive as basic CGI is.

^That's like one of the latest things in occulsion AR, you can see it clips behind objects with weird shapes. And isn't consistent the idea is cool in theory but we don't have the tech to make it look amazing.
