And then look at Luke here.

Notice how Luke looks younger, and more idealized?

Notice how Snoke, looks younger and invigorated?

Now if you have watched the film, then you know that Luke was using a Force/Astral projection creating an illusion in the eyes of all watching him. Even Han Solo's dice were illusory and faded away. So what if Snoke was in fact using the same technique? The Force is very strong within him. Except instead of having the saber just pass through his illusion, his body appeared to be sliced in half. When Hux approaches his body part of it slumps to floor with a thud, just for extra emphasis. I don't think that's just a cinematic technique, I think it was a deliberate choice on Snoke's part.

Now of course you will say "But that Force projection was SO mentally and physically strenuous that Luke died, so why isnt Snoke dead too?" True, this much harder than just force choking/throwing somebody around from lightyears away. But I think he pulled it off, considering he had a smaller 'audience' as it were of minds to project himself into. Furthermore, we saw Yoda come back as Force-Ghost and set shit on FIRE altering the weather and calling down lightning. For an actually dead guy -that's pretty good.

I would reckon that now that Luke has faded, he is one with The Force. At least...the Light. It's possible, in theory that Snoke whether "actually" killed by Kylo Ren or killed by the strain could live on within The Force. Either way, he could be out there as a dark Force-Ghost. Then you also have to consider that he created the Force-Bond between Kylo Ren and Rey. If he's dead, then that bond persisted after his death or.....he's not dead and still supporting the bond.

And then there's this.

At the first Jedi temple on Ach-to there is a mosaic depicting "The Prime Jedi" in meditation.

#WHAT IF......

What if Luke was The Last Jedi while Snoke was actually The First?

Well Luke's projection was untouchable as you can see when they are focusing their fire all on him and when Kylo tries to slice his body in half and then tries to put his saber through him. Everything just goes through him like it would a hologram or something similar. Snoke's body was actually cut in half and even fell to the floor so I feel that he actually died. Maybe he's actually just more powerful than Luke and can do that tho ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

You would be great at CinemaSins.

Joke aside, you do have a point. But i do believe snoke died because in one scene i think his upper body that was cut off fell into a propeller together with one of his red guards. I might be wrong but i do think its his end

I think you're reaching too far.

It wasn't just that Snoke randomly showed up - it was Snoke's ship, and it came complete with his own personal escape craft. There's absolutely no evidence that suggests that Snoke may have survived; you've only got a possible mechanism for his survival.

In the meantime, Kylo killing Snoke was an important part of his character progressing and it serves the overarching theme of the old generation being killed off. Luke is gone, Leia won't be in the next film, Han is dead, Snoke is dead. Snoke living makes another movie impossible.
