How about you guys introduce me this material called Grandmaster, Master & Challenger, then maybe I'll change my mind.

The Metals Scale of Hardness
Lead – 1.5 Tin – 1.5 Zinc – 2.5 Gold – 2.5 – 3 Silver – 2.5 – 3 Aluminum – 2.5 – 3 Copper – 3 Brass – 3 Bronze – 3 Nickel – 4 Platinum – 4 – 4.5 Steel – 4 – 4.5 Iron – 4.5 Palladium – 4.75 Rhodium – 6 Titanium – 6 Hardened Steel – 7 – 8 Tungsten – 7.5 Tungsten Carbide – 8.5 – 9 Diamond -- 10
Iron is stronger than gold. I'm pretty sure bronze is, too.

Oh, I see, your point is that if some elements in a sequence don't fit the general theme, then all other elements are okay to be put in an arbitrary order. In your world if the leagues were 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, B, A, S, and somebody introduced a league called 7 right after 3, that'd be okay, since the original series contained letter named leagues too. Or if they changed the order of the leagues to Platinum < Bronze < Gold < Diamond < Master < Silver < Challenger that's be cool too, since nobody can show you the properties of the metal called Challenger. That's a smart way of thinking, keep it up. It will serve you well in the future.
Also explain to me why challenger is supposed to be higher than master or grandmaster when you are at it. :-D
Bronze is stronger than iron but harder to produce in large amounts Gold is weak af and mostly just decoration
bronze is worth more than iron too.
I'll be honest though, it has been a slight bother since they introduced the concept. Not enough to speak out about it, but I guess enough to be commenting about it now.
I mean, iron is stronger than bronze though... [sg-poppy]
i wonder how long it will take for people to realize, the materials they use for ranked, are based on how shiny the material is, not how strong it is.... Iron is one of the dullest metals as far as shine goes. Bronze is fairly shiny, but dull. Silver is Shinier than bronze. Gold shinier than silver. Platinum literally sparkles. Diamonds shine and refract light in beautiful ways. after diamond you go into master, which isn't a mineral, but you could argue "Masters shine brighter than any material" (see the metaphor?) Grandmasters shine brighter than a regular master. and Challengers, are challenging the gods! they shine the brightest out of anyone.
it has nothing to do with the toughness of the mineral..
iron is stronger than gold
Im here just to tell that, like ranks, It s a matter of quality of the material, not strenght.
Diamonds are cut by Master gemcrafters who are beaten up by Grandmasters.
