Looking to try new foods. What is your favorite food and if it is something you cook, how do you cook it.

My current favorite food is Lamb Chops however they are so hard to obtain and its like 45 dollars per plate. Also I can not eat much cause red meat is not that good for you.

Pizza.

It's so easy to come across and comes in a variety of styles and a ton of possible toppings!

Everything in moderation, including moderation.

Sometimes it is completely fine to eat larger quantities of things that are bad for you, so long as it is not a regular habit.

That said you should mention what types of food you already like. With nothing to go on I'd personally recommend Lebanese food simply because I think it's fantastic.

  1. I have a horrible weakness for flan. It's an amazing, creamy caramel-pudding with a thick layer of caramel poured on top. Used to DREAM about the stuff. https://i.ytimg.com/vi/h_nTuBoo8Vs/maxresdefault.jpg

  2. Indian food doesn't look that appetizing to a Western diet, but it was honestly the most satisfying, flavorful dishes I've EVER had. EVERYTHING was good, even the stuff I didn't stuff in my belly. No lobster or roast-ANYTHING has ever compared and it's usually a little healthier too depending on what you order.

  3. You might not like this, some people don't, but I used to dream about beef stroganoff too. It's beef cutlets and mushrooms in a thick, savory-sour-cream gravy, served over pasta. https://www.cscassets.com/recipes/wide_cknew/wide_50426.jpg

  4. My landlady also makes this amazing rice casserole with pantry stuff. Just white rice, cream of celery/mushroom soup, canned/frozen corn, canned chicken bits and some bullion broth. Pour all that shit in a casserole dish, bake for ~35 minutes until gooey, stirring occasionally. Cheap comfort food in one-pan!

All that said, many of the meals I've had are underwhelming compared to a snack on some kind of artisan bread. Wheat-berry bread is to freakin' die for.

Most cajun cooking, blackened redfish would be a pretty strong contender for first.

It is redfish with tons of seasonings and butter rubbed in, cooked for like 2 minutes on a cast iron skillet as hot as you can get it.

Crawfish etoufee is up there too.

It is a spicy thick crawfish stew served over steamed rice.
