So Fallout 76 with no mods outside the creation club
No seriously fuck Creation Club. I am so goddamn sick and fucking tired of watching more and more companies jump on the microtransaction bandwagon.

The only reason I'm going to pay attention to that game is to see how many hours it takes the modding community to get around this "creation club only" thing. Smarter companies have tried to prevent modding and failed, so I don't see how Bethesda will possibly succeed.
But honestly, we saw this coming right? Bethesda just can't take a hint about how mods are going to work, and don't realize it's going to work this way with or without their blessing. It will take legal action to get their way, and that will destroy their image and viability as a company. Mods make their games what they are.
As a huge Fallout Fan its honestly disgusting how fast and steady Bethesda digs its own grave. scaring Mod - Makers and Users away can only make your Game worse, as seen in many, MANY Games that got big or even came to Existence thanks to Mods. DOTA and finally LoL anyone? that was a Warcraft 3 Mod.
I went through Fallout 4 modfree since i always enjoy Fallout, but the way they handle Fallout 76 is a bad idea, especially since Fallout itself is suffering from a Burnout of its Genre and Topic in general.
Just my Opinion
Bethesda games are only good because they can be modded to hell and beyond; they're usually pretty meh games at best if not mediocre/bad (Skyrim and FO4). They may as well not release to PC if they want to do this
That creation club thing is honestly pretty damn scummy when you get down to the brass tacks about it
The reason people liked making mods and using them cuz they're free
All they're doing in shooting Fallout 76 in the leg as it attempts to run out the gate
I like how bethesda is quick to make a player lose interest in their product but not quick enough to tell us what the product actually is.
I mean
Reminder that this is based off a leaked post that, AND I HAVE TO STATE THIS FOR MY SANITY, Has to be taken with a large ass grain of salt.
While it does have some accurate and believable points, And again i have to say this for my sanity, Not all leaks are 100% Accurate, And typically people who make said leaks will put in false leaks, Either to throw it off as "He said she said" Spread out from an official source, Or just to straight up fit into an agenda.
And even If Its true, There are some reasonable explanations, Mostly that it'd get all fuckery with any online mode if there isn't a 1:1 translation with all mods.
Trying to be the voice of reason and doubt here, So i'm expecting a negative view
But for fucks sakes guys, We literally have fucking nothing solidly known about the game besides the Trailer and the name.
Dont go making these posts just yet
At this point i finally gave up on fallout. This shit gonna be first game in the series that i wont play. And I even played that fucking fallout shelter.
Well since they wont have some multiplayer gimmick like other "singleplayer" " games in the genre do they are looking for a way to supplement sales of the game. They never expected their games to become so popular with modding the way elderscrolls and fallout have and now figure they are owed money for it. Im not super in on any of the recent news but that's what I think.
Bethesda can't even figure out how to make the ground a solid object let alone how to block mods. Lets just see what happens first.
Brace yourselves! For TES VI will have... Loot Boxes!
Bugthesda can't release a stable game and no one continues to play their games past 100 hours for the base game, only for the freshness mods bring. Good luck on your failing playerbase
There's no way they are gonna do that...
...
hopefully ...
they could probably go full EAtard though but who knows ...

I would think Bethesda would have learned from Skyrim in regards to why you don't establish paid mods.
Skyrim SE, months after being released, still has very few mods because it requires most mod makers to recreate mods from scratch. And yet, the mod list for Skyrim still grows.
I refuse to believe that Bethesda would be stupid enough to kill off the one reason a lot of people buy their games.
Then again, I've often been astounded by how dumb some game companies have been, so this could very well be true, in which case...
At least I own Morrowind and Oblivion so I can experience a time when Bethesda wasn't complete shit and deciding to release Skyrim on literally everything before deciding to make ES6.
lmao, as if people wont make their own mods, before companies released modding stuff for free people used to do it themselves...
I literally wouldn't play Fallout 76 if you actually paid me. We all know what a massive rip off the Creation Club is, but for me, that is not the point. I played Fallout 4 once and it was a bug-riddled horrendous mess. I cannot even count how many fresh installs I tried when I hit problem areas or how often I ended up using console commands to get past a notoriously bad loading area. I nearly threw my PC out the window at the flustercluck that happened once you got to the three-way faction battle.
I just do not trust that Fallout 76 will be any different, so I am not even going to waste my money on the game, let alone worry about whether they are further shooting themselves in the foot over modded content.
Do you have a source for this?
If true that's a pretty big slap in the face. That along with the multiplayer rumours are making me kinda scared for the game.
I mean that might be a good thing.
I don't believe they will stop supporting modding for their game. They'd have switched engines already then.
I don't believe they WANT to make a bad game tho. No developer does.
They don't have a good reputation when it comes to fo I guess. I don't understand why they can't make a fallout on par with their elder scrolls games tho. I say let obsidian make another one. Fnv is by far the best Bethesda era fallout (didn't play the older ones) and that's not made by them. Which is the perfect formula. Bethesda makes sandbox rpgs. Their fallout games just lack the freedom skyrim or fnv have. Sure it's fine to be some mythical chosen one in a fantasy game. But you still weren't tied to anything, unlike being a dad/kid from a vault.
Still I think fo3/4 are good games. Just some issues with the story at times. And fo4's leveling system is bad, idk why they didn't stick to the old one or skyrim's.
Modding is a big part of the game's success tho. It makes every install a unique game.
I will be going into fo76 with no expectations. I still hope for another obsidian collaboration but realise that's unlikely.
Honestly even if this is true then I find it really hard to believe that they can enforce this.
After Skyrim and FO4, having any sort of faith into Bethesda is a mistake.
The only way most companies actually hear arguments is through the money, so...yeah, if you want to boycott that, don't jump on the pre-order bandwagon.
Worst Bethesda game ever simply because we need the fans to fix these games and make them right.
This is why I was worried about online features.
remember: whether or not you buy CC mods has nothing to do with whether or not the mod author gets paid. they're contracted and get their money whether or not the mod sells. beth could make a million or zero off a single mod and it wouldn't change what the author gets paid.
Considering that the only evidence of this was a 4chan "leak" I'd hold off on starting a shitfest until we get actual confirmation that this is true.
i'll probably get a lot of hate for this, but...
i hate mods in these types of games. so to that end i dont personally use them.
so im against the creation club regardless. it doesnt add more content for me. im against mods in general because while i like how some mods have become their own version of a game its not the same thing as what most mods are - which is pointless bs graphic swaps. like nude skyrim or thomas the tankborn.
one of my most hated mods of all time is the soul calibur 5 fighting style swap mods that allowed you to play faster characters with heavier weapons without suffering the balance requirements.
that being said i also hate dlc on most games. lately it's starting to become better with content becoming free and in game currency becoming a LOT more reasonable grind wise.
this stuff that league does with the whole grind out BE and buy what you want i prefer over what most games have been doing where you buy a season pass and get content when it releases, but you dont get to know what content that is until it releases.
it works really well with online games. with single player games i'd just want the content in the game from day 1. expansion packs are nice, but i dont usually buy them because we're encouraged to get the game on release now more than ever before with pre-order exclusives and day 1 bonuses. so i tend to not buy a game that looks incomplete and wait for a complete edition which more often than not comes too late.
