Friendly Reminder, that's because in UK and Australia and maybe some others, lemonade is by definition or at least market convention, carbonated. And since Spirite is basically a lemon and lime flavoured soda, so ofc we can simply call it lemonade because that's just frankly calling something what it is.

Friendly Reminder TWO, in Australia we still call Spirite as "Spirite". Only a minority of people who refer to it as lemonade colloquially (and if they exist, I haven't met any). We generally use lemonade to refer to other brands of lemon/lime flavoured soda (like idk, Schweppes and Bundaberg or something), and Spirite is for the very most part, still just called Spirite.

False. In Italy we know the difference at the very least.

Also US calls "pepperoni" a salami while the real peperone is pepper.
