A Post Related to Recent Events

I'm seeing so much lately, of people agreeing with what has happened and of those who don't. However, something I saw in a thread made me want to post about recent events to, you know... be BOTH sides. That thing I saw?

"Guys are saying they're female just to keep the status quo unjust."

Well, how about this? I am a trans male. What does that mean? It means I was assigned female at birth. What does that mean? It means, unlike my male friends who clearly look like they have a stick between their legs, I would've been allowed in the PAX panel. But, not only that, it means that APPARENTLY I need to be coddled? Yeah, no. Women don't need to be coddled, I've never met one that needed to be. I have never needed to be coddled, not even before I figured myself out.

But that's not all. Based on things said by a certain Rioter, I have a power that I literally do not have. I'm not privileged, simply because I have a cave rather than a stick. Like a female, I have to prove myself to people. Not to mention I'm apparently not allowed here, or in gaming in general, simply because I'm not what I was assigned as at birth.

And you know what? That's pretty damn unfair to say of ANYONE. But you know what? I'd rather prove my damn self, male OR female, because that just means I can do whatever job I chose to do, probably better than those who didn't try at all.

Oh, and a small reminder to people who seem to think it's not sexism... 'Sex' is a word used for 'gender'. Sexism means every gender, not just female. Otherwise it would be called Femalism if only women dealt with it.
