Satellite Internet

Hello there, the summer has started and I want to grind league of legends but the problem is that I live out in the country side. I have Frontier but my family is connected at all times so my ping sky rockets to 3k ms. The only other option I have is getting satellite internet. With a cap of 20gbs, can I play league, watch videos and streams, use discord with my friends and not go over my data limit? Something to note is that I will be the only one using the internet service. Thanks in advance!

No, League uses fucking tons of data. Streams do, too.

Who's paying for internet? If you're going to be using a separate internet from your family for example, they use DSL and you use satellite, then only use satellite for league and connect to your family network when doing other stuff. This way you won't go over the data cap.

Every satellite internet provider I've looked into specifically states that the kind of service they provide is not sufficient for online gaming of any type. They're fine for web browsing and etc., but anything requiring a "real-time connection," as they call it, isn't able to be run without the same kind of lag you're already getting.
