Theory: Do people who mostly play premade buy more skins?

Riot has been pushing for premades for 2 years now. We had Dynamic Queue We had premade only IP bonuses Now these premade mission

As Riot has internal data, they also know who buys the most skins. Is it possible that they are promoting premades, as it increases the number of skins sold?

I know it sounds weird, but that seems like the only reason they would deliberetly hurt solo players.

It doesn't hurt solo players, it deprives us of the bonuses offered to premade players. Basically we are second class citizens for not having friends that play League.

I guess that it's more like that they want people to get their friends into the game, so the playerbase grows and they profit of the potential RP they would buy.

I prefer to keep no one on friends list and still buy skins

Its more than likely an ish situation. Im predominantly solo player yet still buy skins. But by promoting premades your more than likely going to talk about/try and get your rl friends to play making more customers for riot. Before premade bonuses there was refer a friend systems. More players= more money for riot. And normally rl friends promoting something is better for the company than any other form of advertising.

It encourages people to get their friends to play and playing with friends generally makes people have more fun/play more and last longer as an active player.

It's for revenue but not because premades buy more skins just that it means more people playing.

Though that being said premades probably do buy more skins as a result of memeing and being more impulsive while in calls with friends especially with the younger audience provided they have RP or money for it

They certainly gift more skins. Sometimes people won't buy a skin even if they want it. Having friends means someone might buy it for them.

i agree with the main question being asked, but not the reasoning. I feel it's mostly due to the fact that playing with friends promotes less toxicity and more cohesion overall. Since this is a team game riot rewards team players. The removal of solo que during one of the recent seasons should give this more bearing.

Trying to force people to talk to each other and reach out though is pretty disrespectful of the developers. For example my state has laws that specifically prohibits the idea of social interaction with strangers online. (I know, I know. It's the dumbest thing I've ever heard). It's considered stalking and harassment.

so... idk. some people have stated that the reason why overwatch is less toxic when compared to league or dota is that it's less competitive and others have said that it's because you pay for the game. personally i think it's because they're not forcing you to play with other players for hours on end. you can drop in and drop out for the most part without penalties and 1 person can still do really well on their own since the game doesnt have a leveling or currency system in game. you start with a kit and that kit is the same from beginning to finish.

Only as a 5-man premade, as they have no one to be toxic to.

4-man premades are among the worst things you can encounter in league, Flex is fun as it removes 4-man, but leaves 3-man groups alone.
