If I get suspended I should not be able to bypass that with a second account.

This shouldn't have to be said. If I or you or anyone has multiple accounts, bypassing temporary bans by playing on another account in the meantime should not be allowed for the period that the suspension or ban lasts. If Riot is unable to track multiple accounts from one person, that's fine but the rule still should be in place.

I think that someone who is confirmed to be on a fresh account only to continue breaking the rules should immediately subject their main account to the next punishment. Or an immediate perma-ban if their main was already perma-ban.

Unfortunately, I think Riot should be realistic here. It can't be something that is done for every single ban. Most punishments are done automatically.

The amount of effort that would go into watching the IP address of someone that was banned while questions such as, "Is this them, or someone else? Did the person we ban have a dynamic IP? Is this a dorm that they're playing from? Etc." always have to be asked to avoid banning someone falsely make the whole endeavor not worth it in most cases. Imagine spending even 10 hours of time and money (collectively) only to decide, "eh, might not be the person. Better not ban to be safe".

When the rare moment comes around and they ban multiple accounts for somebody all at once I doubt they are basing it just by IP address. They are likely basing it off of a slew of information such as behavioral habits in chat, gameplay habits, APM, etc. Not a small amount of effort and not something they can assign automatically.

And let's face it. If someone hops on a new account and doesn't break the rules there is no reason to not allow them to continue playing. It's not like they're bypassing the punishment if they do so after a perma-ban. They lost all their progress and content on that account. That is no small thing.

Riot can't enforce this rule for the general public, so why should they enforce that rule for people they know? That's not how "equality" works.

I, and many others, can see right through your deception bud.

The title of your post is why RIOT's punishment system is so stupid in the first place. I just love it when people point out the obvious that just goes right over the heads of the leadership at RIOT. They are too greedy and lazy to be proactive about their punishment systems and it will never change and it will only get worse because they fail to address the issue which you just stated. It's pathetic really.

A rule serves no purpose if it isn't capable of being equally enforced. If nightblue gets punished for ban evasion then every ban evader needs to get punished and Riot cannot deliver on that.

While it's far from impossible for Riot to track, alternate accounts USUALLY have a lot less paid content and generally do not feel as good to use in the first place.

Besides, players can use that opportunity to reform themselves without the threat of a permaban for even one slightly negative game.

Doesn't mean I believe they'll do it, as Tyler1 has shown that he didn't give any fucks about his toxicity related bans.
