So I just got a new Chromebook, an Acer Chromebook 14, and i wanted to download League on it, but I go to the download page and the download button just lights up and doesnt do anything when I click it. Is this a glitch or can I not play League on a chromebook

Chrome OS is not a real OS - it's a slightly beefed up chrome browser.

The only games you'll be able to run on a chromebook are games that can run in a browser with minimal (if any) additional downloaded/installed addons.

Chromebooks officially only run Android and Google Chrome stuff, so you cannot run League of them.

Unofficially though, you could try to install a variant of Linux on them (Ubuntu, Arch, Linux Mint, idk), and play League through Wine, but I fear most, if not all, Chromebooks will struggle to run the game at any settings, not to mention League will take up almost all internal storage if you do that. Still, you can try it out. You can google guides on how to install/run Linux and from there, run Wine to play League.

Uh, I think you should have done more research on chromebooks first. They're internet only, no executable files.
