he forgot to mention that taking damage in combat with enemies will increase your max health total if you let the injuries heal over time.
There's a slight cutscene variation when Snake is being tortured by Volgin where if your max hp is above certain total, he says you've seen a lot of battle. If your overall hp total isn't above that threshold he makes fun of you and says you have a babies body.

in metal gear solid 2 you could increase your grip strength by doing pull ups. if you did 100 u'd get level 3 grip and the colonel would be like "good job but u need to get back to the mission"
Metal gear is the most amazing series.
Kojima certainly is a visionary. I'm looking forward to Metal gear solid 0- I mean silent hi- I mean Death Stranding.
What a thrill...
I watched the ending for one of the metal gear solid series. I dont like how they made it seem so heroic and a noble act they're killing an old man on wheelchair whose mind is no longer there. There are plenty of others who deserve such fate ex: corrupt people/power abuser but an old man who cannot even breath on his own... umm not very noble
Even with the music in the background and deep voice of the protagonist I still dont think its justify whatever the old man done well hes literally gone.
There is also this part, if you loot an enemy outpost of their ration (you took everything like food ,water etc), by the time you go back to that same outpost a few days later, the enemy will be weakened and hungry. There is even a dialogue of them complaning about lack food and how tired they are, this affects their ingame stats.
