Is anyone else getting depressed that the more you hear about people behind your favorite FPS series, the less you want to buy it?
I'm actually I the point where I'm glad it's on the EGS so by the time it comes out on steam I won't care about borderlands anymore. For me the last straw was sending goons to a guy's house and then abusing youtube's copyright strike system to delete his channel. These are not good people.
I'm just planningto wait for the Steam release 6 months later. This offers two benefits:
I don't need the Epic Games Launcher.
If the game has been inaccurately advertised, is filled with micro transactions, or is otherwise disappointing, I will have 6 months to hear about it and change my mind about purchasing it.
I am looking forwards to BL3 and hope it will be good. If it is as good as it should be, it will still be good 6 months later. And if it is not good 6 months later, I dodged a bullet by not getting it. A win/win for me.

I TRIED TO GET INTO FINAL FANTASY, FF13 COMES OUT AND FUCKING RUINS THE ENTIRE SERIES.
I STARTED TO PLAY LEAGUE AT THE END OF SEASON 3, GUESS WHAT, EVERYONE FUCKING HATES THE GAME PAST THAT EXACT POINT.
I'M GETTING TIRED OF THIS SHIT WITH EVERYTHING I WANT TO LIKE OR LOOK FORWARD TO.
For me personally, the hype went to zer0 (haha get it) the moment I heard it's going to be another Epic exclusive. The Epic client lacks half the features Steam has, I don't even play Fortnite or any Epic exclusive game so I see no point in downloading that client. I guess I'll wait until the exclusivity expires, thanks Take 2.
I like how they had their pocket games journalist write an article implying the guy did "bad illegal things" to justify their actions and then proceeded to go after him by completely ignoring all those "bad illegal things" he supposedly did and... abusing false copyright strikes to have his channel deleted.

Well, the good news is that apparently that guy WAS actually up to some shady shit leaking info and tried to cover it up, which is why his channel got deleted. And, realistically, those goons never actually threatened him, only asked questions which is exactly what they're paid to do. The internet wanted a shady corporation beating down the door of a poor innocent youtuber and filled in the blanks.
But yeah, overall, it's been such a mixed bag I'm glad I'm going to have to wait too. I couldn't even run it if I wanted.
