How to actually kill yorick

Hello Just played past few games with yorick ingame, as in my team aswell in enemy and noticed you cant really melee him with any champ. Just had with nocturne lvl 12 9/0 and tried to gank yorick lvl 11 0/5 and he killed me like the stats would be vice versa. I think it is only way to poke him but still i dont think it is kinda fair that you can be in lead for like 3k gold and he still kick your as*. In the end he kinda played like "Inting Sion" thing and we always needed atlest 3 teammates to take him down, while other 4 enemy just pushed other lanes and won eventually. So what is his deal? he is like nasus with 1500 stacks.... is that one of the counter picks or? but still you cant pick 5 counter yorick champs just to counter yorick....

Kill maiden, or dodge the e, the e is really telegraphed and narrow, and when you dodge it, if maiden isnt out then the ghouls have a worse chance at attacking you even if yourick himself targets you or is in a fistfight with you. if maiden IS out, dont go for yorick directly unless you can burst him down, otherwise maiden and ghouls will melt you faster with the constant max hp dmg hes doing.

Instead, focus maiden with whatever poke spells you got IE nocturnes q, OR sacrifice a little bit of tower health and let them push in, killing seige minions so turret targets maiden itself.

Unless yorick has trinity or his ghouls and maiden out, hes very easy to shutdown, since his q heal doesnt do as much as most people think, and all you really DO on him is build dmg and health, so hes working on base resistances only. Thats the best i can think of as someone who plays yorick a lot. hope that helps somewhat

You can bully him early game when he doesn't have ghouls out. The ghouls account for a large portion of his damage, and in the early game it takes a while to get three out. Trade with him during their downtime. If he does manage to get ghouls out, dodge the E. Ghouls won't aggro you right away if he misses E, and it's a fairly awkward skillshot to hit.

After he hits 6, time his ult cooldown, and NEVER fight him when he has it. When he doesn't have ult, play around his ghouls as usual, and kite him out if your champion pick allows it. Save your dashes for escaping from his W; alternatively, it's worth taking the time to blow 2 hits on his wall if you think you're going to lose the fight.

Late game, treat him as you would a Tryndamere. All Yorick does late game is split-push and take towers like a madman. His teamfighting is sub-par, so abuse that and go for baron/elder as a group. If you have to send people to stop him, send at least 2. Yorick struggles taking down more than one enemy at once, since he has no strong AOE and his ghouls/maiden can only attack one thing at a time.

His W is pretty easy to get out of. Otherwise, it's just a matter of not getting hit by his E, as has been explained. If he lands W or E, that's when he gets the Q off, and that's when things get dire for you.

I would add on to Psy Congroo's posts about not fighting with ult up, with saying do it, but with discernment. If he whiffs-- If you aren't boxed, if the E was missed, if there aren't shittons of ghouls around, it might be better to just put the bitch down rather than acquiescing. Especially if you're ahead and Yorick himself isn't necessarily the threat. Yorick has great objective control, and you have a lot of agency in lane to making yourself either the main objective, or pushing him somewhere else. Take maiden from him, and he doesn't have the same oomph.

I've seen this Yorick eat a lot of shit that old Yorick would've gobbled up and thrown right back up on people. It's hard to explain to someone who didn't see what he could fucking do against you, but his E was point and click and healed, and his W was an instant AoE slow. Maiden is GENERALLY better than old Yorick Ult, but Old Yorick probably could've skirted the elusive hypercarry designation due to the synergy in his kit, and he was every bit as good at pushing.
